On top of being on the BDS list, the price to food quality ratio is ass, even for fast food standards
At this point In N Out is cheaper now.
McDonald's is almost the cost of places like Five Guys in many areas now. They have priced themselves out of fast food into fast casual, but still providing the same product. And people are starting to notice finally.
Less than a decade ago I was able to get a McDouble, McChicken and small fries for $3+tax. Now the McChicken alone is more expensive than that, and the three together are nearly $9 here.
That's not inflation, it's not based on increases in materials cost or labor cost. It doesn't cost them 3x as much to make those items now, it's just raised prices for profit and excuses to try and justify it.
Not defending Trump in any way but I could imagine the Saudis did this of their own initiative, to please him.

How did this work legally? Did the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia contract with McDonald’s Corp. (based in the US) to build and/or operate the restaurant, license their trademarks and recipes for a one-off operation, or buy enough of a stake in them to allow them to use their IP?
Yes, the royal families in countries like them and the UAE are absurdly rich and like showing off. They flex on the richest billionaires, because not only do they have a net value that is thought to be higher then Musk, it's not just on paper - they can spend insane amounts without worrying about hurting stock prices
They probably have food trucks like this for all kinds of restaurants, just sitting on standby. There's no way they're not legit - the whole point is to flaunt. This is probably normally used for like their kids pool parties or something
Or maybe they really did get this set up for Trump, in which case it's still definitely legit. It even has the new decor they've been bringing to their restaurants
Remember, with the super rich the inefficiency is the point. They'd probably flog everyone for shaming them or something if it came out this wasn't "real" McDonald's
