The last Biden mandate was that every home would have a gender inclusive restroom, and every home has one by default. Lol

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 4 points 6 days ago

By god, he did it! Incredible!

[–] Sylvartas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 6 days ago

The parking lot is peak gender neutral restroom though. Less accommodating to women but I know a lot who still manage.

The bathroom in my house is all genders

[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 83 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oh Hell noo ☝️. I will never visit your house. And if I ever do I will piss all over your front yard before I set foot in your house.

[–] 13igTyme@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago (4 children)

Would that be a female or male dog? I assume the yard is gender segregated.

“But my house doesn’t have creeps in it.”

“You did just say you will piss all over the airport parking lot.”

Why are americans so obsessed with toilets? Do they start the potty-training too early or too late?

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 119 points 1 week ago (10 children)

The GoP needed a cultural political weapon. So they picked the weakest minority, gays and trans people. To use as a distractions, while they rob the public and destroy the country.

[–] IonAddis@lemmy.world 51 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Someone's comment that I read elsewhere pointed out to me that this is a similar tactic that was used back in the day with white only bathrooms and non-white bathrooms.

History doesn't repeat but it rhymes.

Most people don't give a shit. Literally or figuratively.

30% of America represents the majority. Out of that 30%, most are just going along with whatever because they're dumb and watch media that validates their fears but if the story changed tomorrow they would let it go.

The remaining sliver of this group are the true fucking nutcases who post this kind of stuff like in OP's image because they really do believe it. Because they are dumber than shit, they don't think with language, they react to feelings and let their autopilot fill in the blanks and appear functional in society.

They are the absolute loudest and most energetic of every segment, and as such they get seen the most and influence the most people.

This is a broken system and we need help.

I love the unisex bathrooms at the Kansas City airport!

Floor to ceiling stalls that I don't have to dance around in to open and close the doors. Large open spaces to move between stalls and the sinks.

Sure, the open stall count and lights aren't reliable and the workmanship on the sinks and soap dispensers is pretty crummy, but the layout and convenience are fantastic!

[–] Reyali@lemm.ee 33 points 1 week ago

And it’s not like there are only unisex bathrooms there. It’s easy to choose another one if you prefer.

But why bother. They’re more private than most other public bathrooms in the US. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I fly through KC often and the gender neutral bathrooms are right past security, so I go in there nearly every time to at least wash my hands. There used to be a tiny jolt of surprise when I saw a man in there just because I’ve been so conditioned against seeing that for over 30 years, but that’s gone away because why tf do I care who sees me wash my hands?!

Wait till she hears how the bathrooms in her house works...

[–] D_C@lemm.ee 55 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

She pisses and shits outside in the driveway.
Her neighbours aren't happy.

She's okay with her bathroom being for men and women. What she really means is she doesn't want trans people to use the same bathroom, and she would not invite trans people into her home. But don't worry, no trans people want to be in her home, either.

there is an all gender bathroom at a business near me that has a picture of a male, female, and disabled person in a wheelchar on it.

i giggle every time i pass by it because i am handicapped gender.

[–] TriflingToad@sh.itjust.works 43 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (5 children)

ah yes, the 3 genders. Rectangle, triangle, and wheelchair

edit: a long pipe is also a gender I guess

[–] dankm@lemmy.ca 31 points 1 week ago (3 children)

It's executing the woman and piping her standard output into the standard input of the man with a wheelchair..

"I'd rather publicly expose myself in the public parking lot than allow people to mind their own business. It's those evil wokists that are the real problem and exposing their genitals to kids".

The windows taskbar at the bottom

It's future-proof since it can be updated every legislative cycle.

Remember in starship troopers they had co-ed showers. If we can fight bugs while accepting gender neutral showers, wtf are we even doing today?

I'm doing my part.

I insist that we should figure out who can go in a grayhound bus restroom.

Is it for men? For women? For trans or LGBTQA? Who?

We need a "if you gotta go, you gotta go!" Law.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 16 points 1 week ago (8 children)

Can we just get a bathroom design where they are a wall of stalls with a urinal and toilet inside and the hand washing station is on the outside without a door blocking the path? I hate bathroom doors after washing hands, especially when they don't have a way to open the doors without touching the handle. Just put the sinks outside the bathroom.

[–] AugustWest@lemm.ee 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I have been to places with this layout.

Private stalls. Sinks and hand washing open and visible to the hallway. Nobody feels threatrned or uncomfortable.

Family bathrooms are also great. Once flew with my intellectually disabled sister who fucking fingerpainted a rest stop stall on a previous trip when my mother broke her arm chasing her to the bathroom and she was left to her own devices. This time I brought gloves and wet wipes and there was a little suite kinda thing. I didn't need the child size toilet or the breastfeeding couch but the nice big accessible area around the adult toilet was good to have. She wasn't constipated that time so I didn't have to stop her from digging it out manually again but man; if I'd had to I totally could've! 10/10 would use a family bathroom again.
