Melted cheese, but pizza in fine.

I think it's a texture thing for me.

In terms of ingredients, nothing is more vile than green bell peppers. Love me some ripe ones, but the greens smell and taste like the built up crud off of Satan' balls.

I don't have any given cuisine that I hate, period.

However, the most disgusting thing I've ever had pass my lips was possum stew. Smelled and tasted like hot garbage. Raccoon stew isn't much better tbh.

Okra! Vegetables should NOT be naturally slimy. 🤢

Boiled carrots are the food of the devil and shouldn't exist

I suppose the main problem with carrots is that they are sweet but people tend to put them in the dishes that shouldn't be sweet. Like soup. I fry carrots with onions before adding them to soup and it is much better as for my taste.

That sounds more tolerable but I think I'll still hate them

I'm always amused at "shouldn't be sweet". Westerners have such partitioned tastes. You'd die in Thailand where every bite of every food is supposed to activate all tastes at once.

I like almost everything, but for some reason I hate the taste of carrots in general.

I love spicy food though.

It makes me sound like a child but broccoli and (cooked) cauliflower. Thing is I love other green veggies, sprouts, kale etc. even tenderstem or purple sprouting broccoli but the standard bulbous tree shaped broccoli i just hate so much. And cauliflower i will eat all day raw just please never cook it!

Broccoli and cauliflower.

Doesn't matter how they are prepared, or how much cheese they are covered in; they're disgusting. I don't even like being in a house where cauliflower is being cooked because it just straight up smells like fart.

Bitter melon. Even after nearly a quarter of a century of giving it a chance, I just can't stand it. It's the taste I can never acquire it seems.

Most boiled vegetables. "Hey, how about this? Let's take something that tastes good, looks good, has texture and turn it into bland slop with all the snap of an overripe leaf of lettuce! Bonus: how 'bout we do this in a way that leeches all the nutrients out! What could possibly go wrong?!" There's so many ways to cook vegetables that don't make them lose flavour, texture, and nutrition. Why are we boiling them!?

Cooked lettuce. They stir-fry lettuce here, and also cook "lettuce hearts". I like lettuce when it's raw. It tastes good. It gives a nice crunch to things it's in. Even if you do something like put it on a hamburger and then leave it under the heat lamp until it wilts its ... tolerable. It lacks the texture and "snap" of good lettuce, but it doesn't taste offensive. As soon as you cook it, though, it develops this taste that puts me right off.

It's not so much the food alone, but where it is.

I hate peanut or peanut flavor in what would be a hearty or savory "dinner/lunch" I'm thinking mostly like some kinds of Thai food.

It's probably my US upbringing, but my brain always associates peanuts with snack/sweets. So like PB&J is good, but peanuts with noodles or something is gross to me. It's not the thought of it that's gross either, I've tried it a few times and I always find it gross lol

my brain always associates peanuts with snack/sweets

Haha, my Dad is the opposite. He associates nuts with savoury foods, and finds it surprising when they are featured in desserts. Personally, I like peanuts anywhere, savoury or sweet.

Certain kinds of beans, especially when baked. It's purely a texture thing, I cannot stand the feel when I bite into a bean.

Been trying all my life, have never been able to get over it. I can eat green beans, peas, edamame, no problems.
