They don't have to give identification and we can't identify them? So we can just shoot anyone who tries to kidnap people since there's no proof they are who they say they are.

It is your duty as a citizen in a democracy or your submission to neo feudalism and forfeiture of citizenship if you fail. "This is a coup, if the left accepts it." was an absolute truth. The slowness with which to perform such a transition is the master plan being implemented right now.

I imagine precisely this might land them in some tricky situations in states like Texas which have both Stand Your Ground and Castle Doctrine laws.

It's a GOOD THING that Republicans are trying to make it ILLEGAL to Identify Strangers who are KIDNAPPING CHILDREN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!

those who publicly identify an officer "with the intent to obstruct a criminal investigation or immigration enforcement operation."

Intent is notoriously hard to prove. OTHO, how have we fallen so far as to be having this discussion?!

I don't want to interfere. I just want everyone to be able to put folks into categories of "decent people" and "monsters."

Speak for yourself. I'm here to interfere with the gestapo.

Intent is notoriously hard to prove.

Don't worry, they'll charge you anyway, and you'll be bled dry with legal costs.

Intent is notoriously hard to prove.

So what? They'll just ship you to CECOT without a trial.

Yeah, get fucked assholes. You have a higher responsibility to public scrutiny. With extra power comes more scrutiny of your actions.

I don't even believe that half the videos we see are of actual ICE agents to begin with. Without being able to identify them literally anyone that has a convincing enough vest could get away with literally kidnapping whoever they want (which is honestly probably already happening). Those masks they wear are $5 and the vests are about $50 if you get a cheap one, both of which you can buy on amazon. Then all you gotta do is stitch whatever agency name you want onto it within an afternoon. With all these "plain clothes" agents going around in regular cars I guarantee a decent amount of them are just a local racist with an extra $100 and too much free time.

Not if you practice good opsec
