Funny how cops manage to round up Just Stop Oil protestors for even talking about maybe being disruptive, but they let full-blown race riots carry on for five fucking days.

General community for news/discussion in the UK.
Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.
Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
Just stop oil protestors are a lot easier to round up to be fair, generally being quite peaceful and significantly less likely to throw petrol bombs.
I swear rioting season starts earlier and earlier every year. Shops will have half bricks on sale as soon as Easter is over soon.
Warmer weather means more riots. There's been multiple times where days of rain or a cold wind has put an end to riots, and they almost never happen in winter.
It's interesting to me, though sadly not surprising, that of the thousands of rapes and sexual assaults reported in northern Ireland every year it's the one that allegedly involves a foreign national that sparks a huge riot.
Almost as if these people don't actually care about girls being raped at all and just hate foreigners.
Tbh, it's worldwide because Russia seeks out stories like this everywhere and fans the flames online in their troll farms. I wish there was a way to stop it.
