Skrzyczne is a mountain in southern Poland and it’s the highest one in Silesian Beskids. Fifth most topographically prominent peak in Poland

I know exactly why, but I'll say it anyway: Witcher 3 vibes. I bet the camping out there is incredible.

That's it, I'm packing the bike and off to sunny Europe proper :D The picture just pulls me on an adventure, so many little details I want to see up close!

The nordics have had nothing but rain this summer. Something to do with an unstable polar vortex. Sucks the life out of a man.

That is a super good idea 😀 If you do, please post or crosspost something to !bicycle_touring@lemmy.world. First weeks of September i'll be on my bike again too, looking forward to that.

Love this place. Full of great spots for hammocks as well

That looks so sweet. Are there already bears in the area or do they stay on slovakian side 😅

There are actually brown bears in southern Poland too, mostly in the Tatra mountains, but they're pretty rare in the Beskids where Skrzyczne is - they tend to avoid humans and are way more common on the slovakian side like you guessed!

Not in Beskid fortunately!

Seems like a pretty hilly place for a tent haha.
