B Movie Bonanza

Much more rooted in reality than Roger Corman's & Paul Bartel's other road race movie, Death Race 2000, but it's still a fun enough time. Cannonball stars many of the same people as the before-mentioned movie, plus it has bit parts for Allan Arkush, Roger Corman, Joe Dante, Sylvester Stallone and even Martin Scorsese.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the artwork on these posters? These artists deserve recognition.

I also recommend watching a couple documentaries on the subject, the cannonball run is a real thing and very interesting.

I think Death Race 2000 was my first experience of these legit free streaming services, on Tubi back in 2019. Bookmarking Cannonball!

Dang, even has Princess Ardala in it (forget the actress' name). She's awesome in some other comedic roles from the era, and later (80's).
