surrounded by valleys

IDK if they mean a geographical dip in the ground or if they misspelled "vallet" here. It looks more like they're in a valley surrounded by hills/mountains.

If you're surrounded by valleys you're probably not in a good fishing spot.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 11 points 2 days ago

How many rivers and lakes are on top of a plateau? 🤔

[–] gigachad@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago

It looks like they are sitting at a pond surrounded by cars

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I'm guessing in a valley surrounded by mountains, based on the pic, but who knows.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If you're surrounded by mountains, aren't you also surrounded by valleys?

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

Well no, not necessarily. Here's an area near me. There are a number of valleys you can see that aren't surrounded by other valleys.

You three guys are driving four ugly cars at once? Wanna see that for sure. AI crap.

[–] Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Who do you think is holding the camera, bigfoot?

[–] Peter_Arbeitslos@feddit.org 35 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (5 children)

Touché. Counterargument: There's no fourth chair. And still I think it's AI. Just look more closely. The license plates, what the white hoody guy is doing with that stick in his hands, the table with a random line.

E: Think I'm right. Found a higher resolution pic. Look at their faces.

I was skeptical at first, but looking at it a little closer those cars are HUGE and parked way too close together to open the doors. Also, why would they park there in a neat line? Why does the grass look like a putting green and curl into the water. The location and scale of everything is just weird. Is that a log with the side peeled open down in front?

It is just difficult to look at.

[–] Peter_Arbeitslos@feddit.org 15 points 2 days ago

Yup, it's AI and I found plenty of Facebook and Instagram and Twitter AI slop accounts with this image and the caption "This is what men want". Boomers believing it in the comments.

[–] SGforce@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 days ago

The real tell is the extra pair of sort of crocks, with an extra shoe with a shoelace going straight up.

But the chair legs almost fooled me. That's pretty good.

The car choice alone is silly

$100k Nissan

$100k BMW

$100k Porsche

$30k ~~Fiat~~ ~~Chrysler~~ Jeep

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not very big cars and they're not Americans.

Grass does look weird though

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not very big cars

The cars are huge.

and they're not Americans

How do you know?

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 1 points 2 days ago

Two coupes and a gran coupe.

And they're way too thin to be Americans lol, also the entire group looks Asian

[–] gnomesaiyan@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

The grass looks like shag carpeting. AI still can't seem to get textures right.

[–] SuperSpruce@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

The license plates give away the fact that it's AI. They should be legible but they're not

[–] Dragomus@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

The water and its reflections are what solidified it for me.

Maybe sometimes a group of friends just all happen to have the exact same face and license plates. That’s not so farfetched.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Even if it's 4 guys with 4 cars, that's pretty scuffed for a fishing outing. How about y'all ride together ffs.

But yeah, it's AI slop.

That poor guy in the Jeep is the last car in the caravan on the walkie saying, "Wait up, brosssss"

[–] squaresinger@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Until they get to the mud trail.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

poor guy

Literally, relatively speaking. He's the poor one of the group.

[–] jaschen306@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago

Have you seen how much Selentis thinks their cars are worth? He might not be the poorest, but he is definitely the dumbest.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You're a lucky man. She sounds like a good woman.

Hang on to her, they don't make 'em like that anymore!

Not sure if you're out of the loop or playing along, but this post is an allusion to a recent scandal regarding the coldplay concert CEO fiasco. The CEO was caught in an intimate embrace with a female employee who was not his wife.

Personally, as a polyamorous guy, I don't see what the commotion is about (and it all seems suspiciously timed as an attempt to distract/bury bigger stories - release the Epstein files - specifically, I don't think the CEO intended to get caught, rather some news media is giving this ultimately near-harmless scandal far more attention than it deserves.
