MODERATORS
As an IT nerd I loved how they made the door out of rack slides. Probably the easiest and cheapest way to make something that seems futuristic, but if you work with servers you see them every day.
The opening scene is also epic, still legendary to this day. I rented the movie on VHS back in the day, looked promising, but I wasn't that interested to be fair. Then the opening scene happened and I was glued to the screen.
I watched this movie and tried adapting the idea into a session of my Star Wars RPG campaign. I didn't use a three dimension cube, more like one level of rooms. I had a map of what room did what, where everyone was, and cut down the math big time, and my players still hated me for it. Good times.
I recently went through the entire series again. It was 100% worth it.
Cube 2: Hypercube is great. The first Cube will always be my favourite and Cube 3 is a nice riff on the 1st. But Cube 2 is so bad, you can't help but love hating it.

The first sentence says that Cube 2 is great, while the last one says that Cube 2 is so bad! Which one is which?
It is a very entertaining time because it is so bad. Corny writing, way over the top deaths, a great bad suspense movie experience. Freddy vs. Jason is still the best bad horror movie, but Cube 2 is still a lot of fun.
If this is the one where the rooms have various weird anomalies then I watched this one as a child and it was just so damn weird
