A sensible reaction to seeing someone look like that would be "oh my, you poor thing, hop in and I'll take you to a hospital".

I always thought it was the "I'm about to shit my pants" pose, and I never made the connection to Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Now we're in the 'bro' era, among others, I'm sure.
Ending every other sentence with 'bro' makes one sound like a simpleton, but I'm old so I probably don't know what I'm talking about.
From personal experience, the problem is that you use it ironically, maybe with your kids or buddies, and it’s fun for a time.
Then one day you realize you’ve fully adopted it and you look in the mirror and ask yourself “What happened to you, bro?”
