Break the ramen in the bag into chunks, open the bag and take out the seasoning packet, add seasoning to the dry ramen chunks, close bag and shake for a bit. Enjoy ramen flavored nibbles.

There's actual branded versions of that snack, called Baby Star in Japan.

Do not put salty, uncooked noodle shards in your prison hole.

[–] thevoidzero@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

We have a pre-cooked version of noodles that. It used to be staple food for us as children.

What's your spaghetti policy?

Such a great episode

Me and some friends once went to Five Guys, got burgers and snuck them into the movie theater. It was awesome.

[–] LAN_Mower@lemmybefree.net 9 points 3 weeks ago

I miss when 5 Guys was affordable.

back when our town had a cheap ass falling apart dollar theater we'd take pizza and chinese and whatnot. we'd just bribe the ticket dude with egg rolls or give them an extra slice and suddenly our food was invisible.

Went to a Cinemark theater with reclining seats, could swear i could see where they were plugged in. Smuggling in an electric kettle shouldn't be too hard with a large enough coat.

SMH should have brought self-heating noods.

Imagine going to a movie theater in the year of our lord 2025.

[–] generic_computers@lemmy.zip 18 points 3 weeks ago

Why would I imagine doing something I did 2 weeks ago? I love going to the movies; me and a friend are going to all the Studio Ghibli movies!

[–] Egonallanon@feddit.uk 18 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I quite enjoy going to the movies, along with a meal it's a great way to spend an evening with friends. Can't wait to see the new spinal tap film coming out.

[–] jawa22@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 3 weeks ago

OMG. This is how I find out? Apparently they recently played a concert, even.

I am beyond excited.

[–] bleistift2@sopuli.xyz -4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I never got how this is “spending an evening with friends”. You’re watching a movie, each of you, individually. There’s no interaction at all (at least if you’re not one of those dipshits that try their hardest to ruin the movie for everyone else). How is this in any way comparable to eating together or even just existing on a park bench?

[–] otacon239@lemmy.world 25 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I certainly don’t discuss the movie after and enjoy the shared immediate experience of the details being fresh of a movie that none of you had seen before. All these decades of people watching movies together just don’t make any sense… 🙄

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 8 points 3 weeks ago

Exactly. I haven't done a movie outing in a long time, but the after-movie discussions with one or more people is always the best part, while it's fresh in your minds. You can do the same online, and it's great too, but it doesn't have the same "rush".

[–] svcg@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 3 weeks ago

I don't do that either, and I also definitely don't make snarky comments during the trailers.

Idk man Jaws 4k was pretty neat
