I'm sure it can fly upwards briefly too if a trebuchet is involved.
I get that catapults are inferior to trebuchets and all, but I still think any decent catapult could also hurl this animal quite far.

That doesn't have a large black square head, though.
Might just be a different angle. Definitely the horse, though, there is no way I would misidentify a horse cock.
