Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 121 points 6 days ago (3 children)

Hey Ezra Klein, look at all these people Charlie Kirk inspired to do politics the right way!

[–] waddle_dee@lemmy.world 52 points 6 days ago (3 children)

A-fucking-men. It's like mainstream media has no nuance, or guts, to report on anything anymore. I feel like Walter Cronkite is doing spins in his grave.

[–] TrojanRoomCoffeePot@lemmy.world 12 points 5 days ago

His tomb could be tapped like a turbine to power Las Vegas the way he's spinning it instead of merely turning over.

Mehdi. Fucking. Hasan.

His news media company Zeteo is doing pretty great work as far as I can tell.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I miss Mr Cronkite. Is Mr Rather still with us? Can someone move him to safety? We'll need a calm and objective voice when this is all over.

[–] waddle_dee@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago

He is indeed! He runs a substack and still writes to this day! His substack can be found here.

[–] SGGeorwell@lemmy.world 8 points 5 days ago

This here is the site in question that is used to go after progressive teachers all across America.

https://www.professorwatchlist.org/

after the fuck's death, people have flocked to this site to make people's lives miserable.

I'm calling for anyone to DDOS the site and possibly just take it the fuck down.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 18 points 5 days ago

Should load it up with every prof at a private religious institution like Liberty U.

[–] ryannathans@aussie.zone 15 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I'm in Australia so I lack a lot of context. I clicked on this site and clicked on one or two random professors like this one https://www.professorwatchlist.org/professor/maurafinkelstein

Very confused about why there's a witchhunt by this organisation for people who don't agree with Israel's genocide of Palestinians? Wasn't Charlie Kirk questioning the legitimacy of it all too?

[–] Juice@midwest.social 4 points 4 days ago

On the right, opposition to the genocide is miniscule.

Both major parties ardently support Israel's "right to exist". Only our most left wing federal politicians, who are like moderate social democrats, have voiced any opposition, fewer willing to call it a genocide. Often that opposition is uneven, unreliable, and conditional.

Israel is deeply embedded in USAmerican politics and culture. And our right wing is a growing fascist movement.

OK.

Who the hell is Charlie Kirk?

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 36 points 5 days ago (1 children)

He's a circus act. His stage name is The Human Fountain.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 21 points 5 days ago (1 children)

He wasn’t even good at that he lasted like five seconds.

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 5 days ago

Don't be a hater, he tried really hard, we should applaud the effort

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 38 points 5 days ago (1 children)
[–] Sho@lemmy.world 13 points 5 days ago

Thank you for getting it. 😁

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

imagine if your face stopped growing at 9 years but your head keeps going till your neck explodes under pressure.

[–] WhatGodIsMadeOf@feddit.org 11 points 5 days ago

The captain on Star Trek.

[–] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 9 points 5 days ago

Some asshole with a tiny face and a toilet paper college campus group

[–] betanumerus@lemmy.ca 6 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Sounds like a Star Trek character.

[–] Tuxman@sh.itjust.works 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Wasn’t that the silent film comedian with the cane?

[–] RhondaSandTits@lemmy.sdf.org 8 points 5 days ago

Believe it or not, but Charlie Chaplin was also chased out if the country for having anti-fascist views.

[–] tesadactyl@lemmy.org 36 points 5 days ago

The professor in question looks like a super interesting scholar of anarchy! Now I'm getting to read his work :D

The thinkers who are scaring these people are people who I actually want to understand!

Gangstalking. It's more than just randos. It's an organized crime using easily manipulated randos.

I don't think people understand how dark this all really is... It's woven into the fabric of America, meaning America can't be saved if the issue were to be solved. How surreal is that Truth!? No one wants to admit that because the truth of the situation still hasn't been acknowledged because it's so surreal. It's like the shock after an accident, you don't realize you leg is half off. Honestly this is beyond just america, Whitney Webb seems correct in talking about the world modern intelligence agencies being corrupted. Our lives are chess pieces being played.

Here's an overview of gangstalking when you exclude all the conspiracy bullshit that's spread to keep people from understanding it is real. https://feddit.org/post/15517147

It matches up with the tactic of 4 and 4th generation warfare. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generations_of_warfare
