Maybe they’re also booing wwe, i saw recently that a TKO executive was saying Vince McMahon was a fool to “price his tickets for families” and that’s why they’re now milking their fans for everything they’re worth. I went to wrestlemania 18 in Toronto and paid $75 for a good ticket. That same section is now around $400 for a shitty RAW taping.

Imagine being such a capitalist dirtbag that you make Vince McMahon look like a good guy

Also I remember when tickets were cheap, you had rowdy crowds and people going wild to be there. Now it’s a bunch of upper class downtown deuche bags, and red pill ufc bros.

I was wondering why when they came to town last, floor seats ringside were like $1200 when I paid like $70 fifteen years ago.

My last wrestling show was WM18 and that’s ok. I got to see Hogan VS Rock shake the entire skydome, that was epic. There’s nothing that will top that for me so it will never be worth it anymore

You're missing half the picture.

6 years ago Bloodywood broadcast their first own song, "Gaddaar" and a month or two later, WWE bought the UFC. Roaul Kerr, in his English Hip-Hip Lyrics, gives you the understanding of the source of their decision but to attain the full extent of their absolutely best yet Voice of Rebellion and Revolution against the "Rich" if you can understand Jayant's Metal Hindu expression.

You may consult their videos which carry very well made translations to English.

Don't miss the same vein from Machai Based. Don't miss the drive of motivation from Aaj. If you question your own balance of mind, Go to Nu Dehli.

If you have any money under this starvation of body & soul here in the US too, hear Tadka.

If you like any of that, Don't miss Jayant with NiNi's HOMELAND or Bloodywood & BabyMetal's Bekauf & Kon! Kon!

Also, if you know a Rapist, make them listen to Dana Dan while you conduct its own words.

There's more.

Let's stop the drop of more Agent Orange.

Edit - What do some of folks dislike? I know I write so complex that its easy to miss but damn. Listen to Gaddaar. He didn't see happening what they did in return but he was accurate before they responded.

I agree with you. I am from there. They are Gaddaar. UFC used to be real. If you think it still is...then you don't think WWE rigged their shit either, do you?

Wouldn’t it have been a stronger statement to boycott the event entirely? Maybe rig the sound system to do some booing in a mostly empty stadium or something.

Honestly. Still got tricked into giving your money to the McMahon family.

[–] maniacalmanicmania@aussie.zone 14 points 1 week ago

I think this video captures the booing better.

[–] null_dot@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The clip I saw had insufficient booing IMO.

Apparently they thought the MMA scene is MAGA?

That was my initial thoughts, although after reading, i get the idea that the crowd just found it a bit disrespectful. Its interesting, because i could go either way on this. Does it come down to how wrestlers are defined?

Sports people > Entertainers = Fine and normal in sports for participants to have their anthems played.

Sports people < Entertainers = Disrespectful to the country the performers are touring in.

I can't bring myself to consider it that deeply im afraid.

At this point I find anything glorifying USA culture offensive.

Sports have anthems played in the US only since WWII because it was supposed to boost patriotism. Nobody else does that.

That's an international event. It's quite different than playing it at a local game, all the time, to annoy the soviets (since that was the original purpose).

Problem with that other commenter's comment was it was too broad a statement. And lets be honest, a bit obnoxious for it. The US may do it for every game, but there's plenty of examples where other country's sports use their anthems, AFL uses it for at least finals and ANZAC rounds, I'd expect that's the same for NRL.

My example the other day was a quickly found one, I equated them as both international events. After all, this is US wrestling in Australia, granted not against Aus, but still in Aus. And here is where I go back to my original reaction, is it more a sport, or more an entertainment? And is that the defining difference that caused the booing?

[–] NoForwadSlashS@piefed.social -1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Playing national anthems at a national team game? Shocking!

Show me evidence it happens every week at every stadium in Aussie Rules games and then it'll be a gotcha.

Go find evidence that satisfies whatever arbitrary bar you've set yourself.

[–] FreedomAdvocate@lemmy.net.au 3 points 1 week ago

You think the USA is the only country in the world that plays their national anthem before sporting events? Lol

[–] Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone 2 points 1 week ago

Yeah he clip on the article is hardly audioble

[–] Fleur_@aussie.zone 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Man, even the WWE fans are booing your country lmao

slow news day?

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

[–] thisnameisnottolong@piefed.au 4 points 1 week ago
