Hey America? If you could stop executing people with Hellfire missiles without giving them a trial first? That'd be greeat.

[–] PanGodofPanic@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 2 weeks ago

No can do, it's a long-standing cultural tradition.

Destroying the lives of innocent people around the world is definitely an American thing

[–] SacredHeartAttack@lemmy.world 68 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Kinda feels like they are trying to start a war by eliciting a response, right?

[–] yumpsuit@lemmy.world 31 points 2 weeks ago

Reminds a lot of folks of the leadup to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_of_Tonkin_incident

[–] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 2 weeks ago

Definitely. Venezuela and Columbia

[–] TeamAssimilation 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That wouldn’t be a war, but a massacre. South America has no military weight against the most expensive army in the world.

[–] Danquebec@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

But the two countries have forests. Colombia even has mountains.

[–] modernangel@sh.itjust.works 34 points 2 weeks ago

Must have been carrying a lot of Epstein files!

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 33 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

So it's not about Venezuela? Or are they just blowing up any boat any where they want now? Which would mean they lied to Congress... Which means...

[–] thejml@sh.itjust.works 30 points 2 weeks ago

Nothing. There have been no ramifications for this administration. And if there were, it'll be by some lawsuit that has to go to the supreme court and, nevermind they're in his pocket too.

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 19 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't know if it means anything, I'm pretty sure they just lie about every possible thing

[–] Lembot_0004@discuss.online 1 points 2 weeks ago

Putin: My school. Nice...

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 2 weeks ago

its a nice distraction for the media to the BBB, epstein files, and the ice raids.

[–] Jerb322@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Which means....don't rent a charter on the ocean. Fish lakes and rivers.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago

THEY LIED TO CONGRESS?!?!

[–] yuknowhokat@lemmy.world 22 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Jesus f****** Christ this last was off the coast of Columbia thousands of miles away from the US. No f****** proof that the boat was carrying what they said or that it was headed to the United States has been provided. The m************ sending this God damn s*** and killing people without adequate process is just one more reason I can't f****** deal with this f****** s***

[–] PM_ME_VINTAGE_30S@lemmy.sdf.org 32 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

I'm with you, but you know you can let those fucking swears fly, right? 🙂

Edit: okay almost missed it, one nitpick:

killing people without adequate process

Nah I actually don't think the US government should be killing people even with due process. Literally the last people in all of history so far that I want to be given power over life and death.

[–] yuknowhokat@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I'm sorry yes speech to text did that to me on automatic and I didn't have time to change it. And as far as the killing thing I agree with you but if it's going to be done and there needs to be process

[–] Texas_Hangover@lemmy.radio 24 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Reading that was like listening to a snoop Dogg album bought from Walmart in the 90's.

Jer-ry! Jer-ry! Jer-ry! Jer-ry!

[–] SGGeorwell@lemmy.world 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So yeah, let’s have a multi-theater war right on both sides of us. These people are trying to destabilize the USA on purpose. But why?

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 weeks ago

Personal debts to Putin.

[–] dan1101@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago

Out of all the embarrassments the second Donald J Trump administration has unleashed on the world, Hegseth is the most dangerous to world peace and stability.

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 4 points 2 weeks ago

Were these boats running copies of the Epstein files or something?
