America is really wanting the entire world to look at them like a bunch of cowardly schoolyard bullies
America doesn’t want that. The administration seems to though.
Not all of America, but at least a significant number of voters want this. Getting less tho.
This state of affairs justifies, in my view, violent resistance
I really don’t understand what land of the free, home of the brave is all about. Nothing about this is free and none of you are brave.

I was brave enough to emigrate away with my whole family during a pandemic, but basically you're not wrong.
We are well past where violent resistance is justified. The only question is, is violent resistance strategically wise. For now, at least, I think the answer is no, since the administration is desperate for excuses to escalate military deployments. Retaliation also doesn't come back at the people who initiate the violence half as often as it comes back at innocents.
Now this is a conversation worth having, fantastic point fully ceded.
I wish I knew a way to get large numbers of people organised in a way they could trust, other than telling them to vaguely "get involved in local politics".
Politically speaking, there is no way that the 2026 midterms aren't going to be an absolute landslide for the Democrats. At that point the strategic situation will be very different. Either it will be a hell of a lot harder for Trump to escalate, or we will have confirmation that political solutions are no longer possible. Either way, I think now is a time to be preparing. Beyond that, I don't have a whole lot to offer.
I reckon that Trump is provoking a violent reaction to justify activating the Insurrection Act. I'm not saying that the feeling to retaliate is not a valid one, but he is manipulating the public into a violent reaction.
I think we've seen with Charlie Kirk that there's enough conservative on conservative violence to find justifications to crack down. He's going to get it one way or another.

Technically no. They said that race could be taken into consideration as one of multiple identifiers, not that it could be used exclusively. Of course they knew perfectly well this would be the result.
