Anyone who buys call of duty these days deserve all the abuse they get.
In fact, that goes for most games.
I was so mad when call of duty 3 wasn't released for the PC. Modern warfare was sick though, last cod in my collection. I heard battlefield is ruined too, maybe someone else can tell me why.
I dont know what else to say but LOL
People need to stop buying games that are so blatantly anti-consumer.
Console gamers and people who buy these yearly franchise games: why do you hate yourselves?
These games are extremely popular on pc. As far as console gaming I love myself and I love the games I play I just don't play these types of shit games.
They legitimately don't know any better.
For them, it's consumption for the sake of consumption.
I go to a barber every now and then and I don't really like small talk a lot. Because he has a lot of customers, he just barely remembers me and always asks: you play video games too, right. And i always say yes, and he asks me what i play. I tell him something different every time. To him playing video games literally means playing the new fifa and the new call of duty, because that all he and his friends play
Who is this even for? Do people enjoy this?
It's so puzzling, you can have any world you want in a video game, absolutely fantastical places to explore and take your mind off things and be intuitive and solve puzzles, there is way too much violence in the world already, I really will never get it.
I wonder what would be the mental capacity range if we sampled the group of people who buy FIFA, COD, and Forza every year.
I wish they were releasing a Forza every years.
They made motorsport 7 waited over 5 year, gave us Motorsport (2023). And it's... Shit.
The Formula 1 game are a much better analogy. They are always the same thing. Release every year. And somehow make stuff worse every other release
I stopped playing COD games like 57 titles ago.
Modem warfare 3 was the last COD game I played and I thought it was mid.
The original modern warfare was peak COD imo (MW2 was also very good)
Yeah, I'd say WaW/MW2/Black Ops were the last good CODs.
I played BOII, of which was arguably the best COD game of all time. I also considered playing MW Remastered for the Horizon Modern Warfare mod.
That should be 3 months ago then
Bwahahahahaha what a GAAS nightmare. Don’t buy this obvious scam.
Reason that the Stop Killing Games initiative is important number... What are we on now?
Single player mode? Noooo, you always have Activision by your side. Watching.
A full width split screen zombies mode, and a full lobby of people who want to play Kino Der Toten are pretty much the only thing that would interest me in another COD BLOPS title.
I just can't imagine who these titles are for now. I appreciate they're trying to make the graphics and sound amazing, but these online experiences, as imagined by the developers, have taken away more than they've given.
The last modern warfare title I bought was MW2, that bizarro named one. I opened it a few weeks ago and the whole game has become a loader to other COD games and its multiplayer lobbies are empty. So stupid and I wish I could get a refund.
Its military propaganda. Tends to do well with military folk and is used for recruiting young people.
That's interesting. Is there proof I can look at?
I dont know what meets the bar for proof but here's an article to get you started:
https://gamerant.com/call-duty-modern-warfare-recruitment-tool/
Edit: another interesting read: https://thegunzone.com/does-the-us-military-sponsor-call-of-duty/
The Gamerant link is dead, though I just need to use the Wayback Machine or something like that. I looked at the second link, and yeah, that's concerning.
Oh boy I also hope this comes with the login queue battle royale mechanic (video) as well. Couldn't call it a modern AAAA experience without one.
"Wake up honey, assassin's creed 2 DRM came back in 2025!"
What is the reason for this? Laziness?
There is no singleplayer. The campaign is co-op. If you're soloing the campaign, you're still playing online.
That makes more sense. I can see how it simplifies things. It still seems like a decision that is lazy and disregards the players.
It's hard to overstate how insanely fast these games get made. I have no doubt that the project managers have to cut any corner they can to meet the release schedule. Don't take this as a defense of the result, but rather a criticism of the treadmill dev cycle for these games.
