Last I heard NVidia's open source drivers are garbage. Which is impressive given that their proprietary drivers are also garbage.

Not the one I’m using. Maybe they have open drivers, but the one I had to use to get a working CUDA isn’t

From what I remember, that boiled down to 'it is more important to consistently pump out lots of content instead of letting staff learn and use something new' which... I don't have a very good opinion of him but that's another oof.
