Because we are the boogeyman. A small enough minority that they can demonize us with little repercussions and use that demonization to enact other horrible things.

Easy to make a wedge issue out of a small minority that people are already primed to think of as "icky."

I checked into this today and the current status is that this version of the bill doesn't have enough support thank goodness. However neither does the other version of the bill, so ppl still lose this cushion that would have continued to help people pay these health care premiums. It was disgusting to see the Republicans try and pin these things together and I was very apathetic that Democrats would push back on it.

Now we go back to waiting days or weeks for the next attack on gender affirming care on a federal level. They won't stop trying to take away our ability to safely transition so we have to keep fighting.
