The point is that being that (rightfully) angry at animal abuse and not being vegan is fucking hypocritical.

Well, see it in the context of the entire animal industry. If what happens in slaughterhouses isn't animal abuse for someone, why would this be?
Ich war am Anfang voll euphorisch und dachte, wenn die Leute nur wüssten, was ich weiß, würden sie es genauso sehen. Oh boy, hab ich dadurch den Glauben an die Menschheit verloren.
Ging mir 1:1 genau so. Ich hasse bis heute die ganzen dummen Scheinargumente, die immer gebracht werden. Wenn die Leute einfach die Wahrheit sagen würden, nämlich, dass ihnen Tiere eben scheißegal sind, wäre das zwar immernoch mies, aber eben wenigstens ehrlich.

Nah that's not how it works. We all need nutrients and as long as those nutrients can be consumed in a bioavailable form it doesn't matter (for the body) where they come from.
