Aaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. XD

I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ - Gandhi

Yus.

Saw this recently. Speaks quite well to that point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8swSkk9yeV8

Nah. This backtracking is bullshit. She knew exactly who he was. She just fell off his coattails for whatever reason and now she's playing the victim, even if it's being a willfully ignorant victim.

[–] Aljernon@lemmy.today 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"Aggressively ignorant" is a better description of her than naïve

[–] bigfondue@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Useful idiot that has no use now that Trump is on his way out

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Eat shit Marjorie the Gathering

[–] slingstone@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Don't slur the game like that!

[sigh]

To be fair, WOTC has already been screwing it up for a long time...

[–] treesquid@lemmy.world 15 points 3 days ago (1 children)

And anyone who thinks she's reformed now is even more naive.

So she's either lying or willfully ignorant. I'm leaning towards the former. Either way, not someone worth listening to. Go away, Marge.

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I still don't see the point of her lying. Maybe she's pissed she didn't get a job in the Trump admin. In any event, Democrats won't elect her for anything, she's leaving politics.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Oh I get it, clear as day. Trump's dying in front of our eyes with frontotemporal dementia, and god knows what else. Not to mention the Epstein files scandals. Once Trump is dead, the cult collapses. Anyone, like Vance, trying to step into his shoes get ALL the blame for ALL the things.

tl;dr: She is wisely getting ahead on the coming crash.

I loathe the woman, but she's nowhere near as stupid as people think.

She was being dumb personally making her insider trades for the whole world to see. She became a joke and everyone knew exactly what she was doing so she was cut out and got effed, so now she's mad.

[–] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 7 points 2 days ago (2 children)

How COULD she Know that a Billionaire Rapist who NEVER pays His Staff could be a JERK! There were NO WARNINGS!

Grok said it was all fake, what more can you expect of her.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

He definitely didn't already serve a full-term previously, a decade ago, so how the hell could she know!?

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 35 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You’d have to be naive to believe her.

[–] SlurpingPus@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Reminder that the US elected Trump two times.

[–] Xander707@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You know, it can’t be ignored that when someone middle or left or presumed left suddenly flips and goes MAGA they are immediately elevated and worshipped as an addition to the MAGA hivemind. Take Niki Manaj for example.

But the left isn’t tripping over themselves to put former MAGA toads on a pedestal. Marjorie Taylor Greene is a fruitcake. I don’t know what her motivations are for turning on Trump and MAGA, but her previous lunacy makes her difficult to trust, to say the least.

[–] minkymunkey_7_7@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Token was spent. Trump doesn't need her anymore. She's a nobody. Suddenly she cares and sees.

[–] silasmariner@programming.dev 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

The rush of motivation can obfuscate the river of the obvious

I mean it (sorta, let's not get too picky about this) literally makes you an idiot when you let it do that, but it totally can

Edit: quickly -> picky. Autocorrect fucked me when I was looking at the keyboard, and I didn't notice 'til after

[–] silasmariner@programming.dev 1 points 1 day ago

I think a universal standard of comment editing would be useful.

I am not insane

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

BS and she is fucking pathetic.

[–] lemmy_outta_here@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago

Some say she was naive, others say she is a stupid evil cunt.

[–] Blumpkinhead@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

BUUUUUUUUUULLLLSHIT

[–] ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world 30 points 3 days ago (5 children)

And some Americans will believe her. 🤣

We still need to burn her at the stake. You can't just call an oopsies on facilitating hate and expect to be forgiven.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Please go away trailer trash barbie.

[–] JustJack23@slrpnk.net 19 points 3 days ago

The people = the small subgroup of people she doesn't hate

[–] gustofwind@lemmy.world 14 points 3 days ago (2 children)

The mainstream media continue to inexplicably rehabilitate her image and as you can see by the comments here it’s literally working

You know. I hope she’s earnest about this wake up call and becomes a MAGA “reformist.” Bad people in toxic systems can do good things in life, and her following isn’t trivial.

…But proof is in the puddin. Especially with her history.

I will also say that, if she’s betting on a Trump collapse, that is not a great bet and she knows it. If she simply wants power, it doesn’t seem like she’d be leaving Congress while saying these things.

[–] tburkhol@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

If she were in it for the power, she'd use her new role as 'maverick' in the GOP's razor-thin margin to play kingmaker.

If she were in if for the money, she'd retire as soon as her pension vests.

If she were Truly Awakened, she'd resign as soon as she learned she's been tainted by a toxic system.

[–] brucethemoose@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

She did the later:

https://apnews.com/article/marjorie-taylor-green-congress-resigns-trump-maga-5f42d4893343babc8e87da1491a0de2b

She said her last day would be Jan. 5, 2026.

It’s not instant. But for a congresswoman, that’s an abrupt resignation.

[–] tburkhol@lemmy.world 14 points 3 days ago (4 children)

Jan 5 2026 is the day her pension vests: 5 years of service.

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Turns out this flat out wrong. Five years is when the access to a pension at all - not vested. That's under FERS, which applies to retirement for all federal employees. You can't retire from the House at 40 and claim a pension. You have to reach the retirement age.

[–] brucethemoose@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Didn’t realize that.

But still. Not waiting 1 month and forfeiting a government pension, just to make a point? That seems stupid to me. And it’s not like she’s making a ridiculous amount of money from the pension.

To be clear, I don’t want to veer into defending her. I’m sure she makes tons of money from social media, which is kind of sickening.

I mean, if she's that dumb, maybe she shouldn't be in politics any more.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Yeah she's a pretty spot on representation of the type of person who would believe someone thoroughly documented as a lifelong liar and grifter is actually a virtuous, truthful individual.

In other words, a dumbfuck.

[–] ScrambledEggs@lazysoci.al 6 points 3 days ago

Not "naive" but, evil and apathetic to others until she is on the other side. No matter what she says she should never be trusted or forgiven.

That being said it's been oddly quiet from her friend boebert.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I'm genuinely not sure the United States has literally ever had a person that's less of a man/woman "of the people."

I don't like the guy, but genuinely and objectively I believe this to be true. The guy is just a comically awful person - he's so void of any semblance of compassion and empathy that I'd argue a fictitious person of the same character in a movie or book would be an unrealistic and boring villain.

That's who the Republicans elected. An unrealistic, boring villain. A guy that wants money, power, and virtually nothing else.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 days ago

Margie had a chance to ride the criminal train to the top but her cohorts didn't want her on board and now the fury of her hell is upon us.

[–] biotin7@sopuli.xyz 4 points 3 days ago

Nope, she's trying to do damage-control

She is the biggest, stinkiest weasel. The sooner I stop hearing about her pathetic ass the better. As soon as she got the same level of pressure as the most spineless democrats she folded like an oragami turd.
