As much as we like to think we’re invincible, we’re not. But what if we were to change? What if our bodies were built to survive a low impact crash? What might we look like? The result of these questions is Graham, a reminder of just how vulnerable our bodies really are.

Graham needs multiple rows of nipples to survive low impact crashes?

[–] flamingo_pinyata@sopuli.xyz 19 points 8 hours ago

This Graham is a male, but females also have 6 nipples. This is because their species gives birth to 6-8 babies at once. Despite adaptations they still have a high likelihood of dying in car crashes and as such need to compensate with reproductive strategy.

The term is "fleshy pillows"

"However, his torso is more airbag-like than armour-like. Sacks, that do a similar job to that of an airbag, have been placed between each of Graham’s ribs. On impact these airbags absorb the force and reduce his forward momentum. The airbags provide an inbuilt added layer of protection for the heart and other vital organs."
