Skin is fairly easy to wash of with a bottle of lye

Just forego your tasks. The world will not end because you have dishes on your sink and dirty clothes on your floor.

I forewent (?) skin-washing instead. Now I take a shower like once every two weeks. I ask people periodically if I stink and nobody says I do, so I dunno. TBF I also forego most of my tasks and most of my unconsciousness as well.

There's also faithless electors and gerrymandering. And losing car keys through sewer grates. Phones too. Oh and human rights and friends as well. Flushed away like dreams of grandeur and pretense of grace after a hearty night out.
There's rejection too, that feeling when what you think or hope the other person feels comes crashing into the hard wall of reality, they felt nothing like it, you were misled by your own instincts, or another for reasons you'll never know. You'll never understand this 'another'. The distance between souls is one you will never cross, and betrayal is always at hand.
Oh the humanity! Is there anything other than misery?
But in the end, there are a few moments that make it all worthwhile.
The skin is highly recommended. We can do a system override and remove it, but you're going to lose a lot of operability.

I don't mind having the skin. I mind cleaning the skin. Not because I don't want to be clean but because the water takes too long to feel right. Oh. And my knees hurt.

If you dont do the tasks they tend to get harder and harder to do until you have to miss a few nights sleep to catch up.
