I think some BIOS have a disable option if I recall correctly, but is it actually disabled?

To my understanding, it's not possible to remove, only to disable with me_cleaner. However, my laptop doesn't support it. 😅 Whatever. I cover it with opsec (just don't do anything sensitive on it).

Imo if that's your threat level you should be using tails+tor only. Not that I wouldn't prefer to be rid of IME but I also don't loose sleep over it
