So now we trade back with the giants, get 3 1sts 2nds and take maye/harrison and olu?

[–] Cutlercares@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Stop it wit the MHJ stuff. Drafting. WR with a top 10 pick is a waste. You pick up young, proven WRs through trade (like the way we got Moore).

Have you guys forgotten when we took White top 10 for him to never pan out?

Focus on the trenches until we have a franchise QB in place.

I have a feeling we'll end up with the 1st and 4th pick.

AZ is probably going to win 4 games or so this season with Kyler Murray coming back, but I'm not sure about NE and NY.

[–] The-Implication-0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Arizona will win some games with Kyler back, NE will win some random game(s) cuz of Bill I think. And Giants probably won’t win again. I really hope Panthers lose out or only win one and they retain #1 pick with SOS.

[–] PortillosBeef27@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

So let’s look at this realistically. Panthers will definitely be 1. The cardinals have to win a few games with Kyler Murray so I think they end up 4-5. The pats will probly finish either 4-5. Giants might be the only threat to us going 1 and 2 because they truly just suck and have a backup now

My guess is we get 1 and 3. I just hope we come out with Marvin Harrison for sure

[–] rayj11@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The Bears pick is definitely not going to be 3. Too many sorry ass teams this year.

[–] tartan2@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Going into tonight, I thought the Giants had the best shot at #1 with Jones out, but hoo boy the Panthers looked a lot worse than I expected them to. It'll be an interesting race down the stretch for sure.

I'm cautiously optimistic that Kyler rips off a few wins for Arizona, so hopefully it's just us and New England duking it out for the #3 pick.

Even if things don't fully break our way, there's shaping up to be a really good crop of 7-8 players at the top of this draft, so as long as we get two cracks at those guys then I'm happy.

[–] TamingOfTheChoon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes getting a top spot would be nice. But let’s say cardinals and giants go 1 and 2. And grab the QBs. We can get Marvin Harrison jr and the next best player on the board.

[–] lnnrt01@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The Giants were 27-0 against the Raiders with their backup QB in until they scored in garbage time. Don’t underestimate Tanko DeVito the big blue legend

[–] LukeBombs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tyrod Taylor is coming back eventually

[–] AfterMany7239@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Am I the only one hoping we pick around 7/8 so we keep JF1?

[–] marvokino@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You think GB will play CAR responsibly? Somehow I feel like they wont.

[–] Flat_Boysenberry1669@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I love how we are all praying the Panthers lose every single game they have left because there's a good chance we will lol.

Beets.

Battlestar Galactica.

Stop the count

[–] Liquidpyro0288@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Arizona, home of my favorite baseball team in the winter and my 2nd favorite football team

[–] Adnonymus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

For fucks sakes let’s all pray this is the last year we’re doing this shit. I wanna be on the other end of the spectrum talking about getting the #1 seed and a first round bye.

[–] glowstick@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Yea, maybe this is the last year we suck. The entire organization is built on football-illiterate nepotism but as long as you believe in both magic and miracles then there's a chance!

I pray the team gets sold to a billionaire with an ego big enough to take losing personally.

[–] verdango@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Let’s go magic!

Shit, I hope Fields was learning while watching 🤞

[–] Joliet_Jake_Blues@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

GB might pick before our 2nd pick. Is it Fields or QB? MHJ might not be in our ranges, and that'd auck

[–] Pitiful-Department80@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You take MHJ number 1 if you have to, no way you pass up on fore sure reciever like that.

[–] lnnrt01@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Disagree. Take the QB of the future and hope MHJ falls to you but even if not there a still plenty good players on the board

[–] DarkCushy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Only team we have to worry about is the Giants

[–] Adventurous_Soft_686@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The Bears have the Cardinals at home on Christmas eve. If the Cardinals and Panthers are still tied for the first pick do you throw the game?

[–] OldDirtyInsulin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The Bears were still trying to tank, they would not have brought in Montez Sweat. The tank is over. The Chicago Bears are trying to win games now.

[–] molybdenum75@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

STOP THE COUNT

[–] dpittnet@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Now just hoping they end up with picks 3 and 4 so I don’t have to deal with an entire off-season about if they should draft a qb or not

[–] OldDirtyInsulin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You still would. sHoUlD tHe BeArS tRaDe ThEiR 3rD aNd 4Th OvErAlL pIcKs To NeW yOrK iN eXcHaNgE fOr ThE 2nD oVeRaLl PiCk?

[–] dpittnet@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ugh, I know you’re right

[–] MoFugga27@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Bryce Young looked absolutely terrible against what is usually a really awful defense. Let that be a warning to anyone that ever hopes for a tank season. It's good to have draft capital, but I really hope this team stacks a few more wins to change the culture in Halas Hall.

[–] OldDirtyInsulin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I 1000% agree with this and I wish more Bears fans would understand this.

[–] Subby13@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The giants suck and there will be at least one more team worse than us. We’re going to end up with Caleb and not MHJ which is the worst timeline.

[–] OldDirtyInsulin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Or if Fields plays consistently above average, then it will be MHJ. Justin playing like a franchise QB is a great timeline.

[–] Lysol20@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

We need to lose to Arizona for sure. I think our own pick will be between 5 and 8. There is no way we finish worse than Arizona, New York, or New England.

[–] OldDirtyInsulin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If the Bears were trying to tank then they wouldn't have brought in Montez Sweat.

[–] Rivetingcactus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Imagine being panthers with pee-wee young when Caleb Williams and drake may are coming out lol

[–] Hehateme123@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not going to get MJH + Maye/Williams drafting 2 and 5. Hopefully that talk can end

[–] Rshackleford22@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m afraid if we trade down we won’t get MHJ so if we gotta use 1 on him so be it

[–] PunchKicker32@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They’re going to fuck this up and rattle of 3 or 4 more.

[–] West1234567890@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Drafted Kyler Murray in fantasy really hope he goes off and arizona rips a few. I haven't looked closely at New England or the Giants schedules, Carolinas schedule seems pretty easy unfortunately but feeling more optimistic after last night but I imagine we'll need a bit of luck to get #1, even #2.

[–] chaos_pal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Those percentage numbers are all kinds of Illuminati shit this week

[–] adamempathy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If we get the number 1, and we can trade down again, do it. Especially if we still have two top 7 picks.

This part will get me down voted: Then I want the two biggest nastiest linemen in this draft. I want road graters and I want 200+ yards rushing every game next year.

The Bears will NOT get the #1 pick unless they themselves finish with the worst record, which seems less likely now. The Panthers have zero motivation to tank, while the Cards, Giants, and maybe even Pats do...

Hope carolina stays terrible because we can potentially slide to 10 and maybe even 14 if Fields plays well and the defense continues to improve. Lot of bad teams.

[–] ssgdank42091@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

should the Bears tank the game against Arizona?

[–] 2017_2017@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

At this point- I don't really care what they do with the picks, I just don't want them to screw it up...again! If they want to move on from Fields and/or Eberflus (even though I'm a Fields fan), I don't care...just let's get it right...for once.

[–] PebbleBeach1919@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We are trading the number one pick to the Raiders.

[–] sounds_like_kong@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Arizona is getting Murray back too
