Guys we talked about this, reading theory is cheating, I don't want to hear all this stuff about the political left just existing as bulwark against the actual left, demsocs are the moderates of fascism, etc etc we get it. Please just shut up and let us pretend all of these problems are new and unsolvable

The difference is that Israelis died on a fairly large scale this time. This has given Israel the license to do some genocide in the eyes of the American Liberal, which is also why Netunyahu and other hard-core zionists have been supporting Hamas.
