Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Monday shot back at President Donald Trump’s threat to impose additional tariffs on Canada over wildfire smoke, calling it “rubbish” that drives him “crazy.”

Ford said Canadians, including from his province, have helped Americans battle wildfires in places such as California and Minnesota in recent years, and suggested that Trump should return the favor by sending water bombers up to Canada.

“With all the assets the U.S. has, and he’s sitting there complaining. Why don’t you send up some water bombers? Why don’t you start helping us, like we would help you in a heartbeat?” Ford said at a press conference in Toronto.

Stop wildfire insults and help your friends.

Malignant narcissists have no friends.

Oof, losing the moral high ground to Ford...

Doug Ford is not a good person, but he is highly effective at attacking Trump and rallying Canada in a way that isn't patronizing. I was honestly surprised they didn't force him to run against Carney instead of the hopeless and corrupt loser Poilievre.

Fuck Doug Ford. He’s a corrupt shithead who applauded Trump being elected. Now he’s crying about friendship like he meant anything to him in first place lol pathetic.

Ford is a tool.

Just because he gets on his soap box every couple months to dunk on a corrupt dementia patient and score easy populist points doesn't change anything else.

He does help his friends... why do you think the pedos haven't been arrested

[–] CatGPT@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 month ago

He doesn’t yet get it. Trump has no friends. Just people who think they are. People he will betray. He must be locked away.

If I could get Canadian citizenship if I come north and help fight fires, then volunteer for military service

So long as my family is taken care of, i’ll pack my bags.

When even Doug is better than you...

The bar almost literally couldn’t be lower.

in places such as California

Uh, that has the negative effect on Trump. I’m sure he would love nothing better than the whole state to go up in flames.

This shit reminds me of the Icelandic volcano that blew what like 15 years ago? Flights all over Europe had to be cancelled and entitled jackasses were screaming about how Iceland needs to control it's volcano. Fuck all the way off with that shit, especially since our fossil fuel companies are largely to blame for this.
