December 20th 2021 was MNF against the vikings, not sure how they got that wrong

[–] Zwooba_Zwooba@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I posted this is another thread, but who exactly do you expect to fill in for him? Getsy?

[–] SurelyRight@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What is it fans think firing a coach now accomplishes? It seems you just want some emotional satisfaction from it, which is a stupid reason. What’s a good reason?

[–] hippohopper78@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I know we pair Getsy/Eberlose together, but there is no way you can convince me Getsy wanted to call the game like that at the end after what we saw the previous 3 quarters. That’s gotta be Eberflus playing scared.

Justin looked great.

Bears can focus on needs in the draft.

Fire all the coaches.

I can't wait for Ginnie to die. Let the kids fight over money & sell the team. Fuck the McCaskeys.

[–] AmbitiousChair1073@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fuck tomorrow. He needs to be fired tonight

[–] Wide-Ad4742@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No justin fields is the problem s/

[–] surpemepatty@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

we in fact did NOT take the North

[–] h0laSeni0r@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He started off the game well, was aggressive on 4th downs. But the second Flus and Getsy get a lead they start playing so conservatively. They ditch everything that got them the lead and start playing dumb. Hope he’s announced as gone this coming week.

[–] precautiion@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s gotta fucking leave now

“we’re taking the north and never giving it back”

[–] MikeBinfinity@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Unless he lost the locker room, he isn't getting fired.

You might as well let him tank out to make the job more attractive for the next guy.

george isn't going to pay two staffs at the same time

[–] Loothar@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sadly, this is why things don't seem to get better.

[–] Erice84@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Unfortunately I can guarantee you he'll be adding at least 1 more L to that list, probably 3 more. And some unrelated L's too.

I know we’ve got zero options for interim coach, but someone needs to be held accountable for this idiocy.

The story of the Bears the last 20 years: Wash, rinse, repeat.

[–] MexicanGuey92@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is my favorite post game show. Love when Briggs ans AB share the same frustrations as we do... it's like an official validation from Bears legends

[–] Tundraaa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We’re going to take the North, and never give it back.

[–] rsundara@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Absolutely, yes! This game against the Lions showcased the most persistent problem with the Bears over the years. For 57 minutes of the game, the Bears showed that they were capable of winning in this league. However, as it has been since Coach Eberflus and Co. got here (and actually as with many Bears coaches even before them), the coaching was terrible when it counted most and the coaches, not the QB or other players, lost this game. At the most critical times, these coaches on both offense and defense go conservative and play “not to lose” instead of playing to win…with the result that they lose! Winners play to win, and these Bears coaches simply do not have a winning mentality. Also, if anyone is hoping for high draft picks by losing, the simple fact is that high draft picks mean nothing if you’ve created a culture of losing in the process.

[–] Nocheese22@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Might as well keep him until the end of the year. Who would you rather be interim head coach?

[–] jean-claude_vandamme@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Anyone pointed out how this was a historical loss yet? A team with that many turnovers in their favor being up by 12 with 3 mins to go has NEVER lost an NFL game, since the start in 1932.

Its 48-0 those teams win...until today.

The Eberflus 2023 Bears are the 1 in the 48-1 now.

[–] AgilePickle745@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

A lot of those aren’t even close too

[–] GroggyLand@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

So sick of losing to our rivals. Those are the teams you start game planning for in April/May. Complete embarrassment.

[–] BearOnHerbs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Poverty franchise

[–] Cheddarlicious@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I know people say this type of stuff all the time, and I know it’s dramatic. But for 20 years I’ve supported this team, through ups and downs. But this is too far down. It’s like McCaskey is trying to ruin this team and I cannot support it if they’re going to be so blatant about tarnishing our reputation. If Flus isn’t fired by the time I wake up I’m wiping the Bears from my life until April or so. I just can’t continue to support incompetence.

[–] drummerboysam@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Good news!

Next two games are Minnesota and Detroit again.

[–] hibrett987@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not gunna fire the guy doing exactly what they want him to do.

[–] hammerSmashedNail@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Well it’s tomorrow.
