Fields has 1 career game of 300+ yards.
Mahomes is truly a generational player though so I never like the comparison. I don't compare every QB to Tom Brady. Granted, I imagine most elite QBs have had more 300+ yard games in their first 3 years.

People who criticise Fields are not just taking one game out of context like this though, pretending like they are is disingenuous.
Right exactly. Sunday wasn’t the only game he’s turned the ball over on the last drive. It wasn’t the only game he’s failed to pass 200 yards receiving. It wasn’t the only time he failed to convert frequent good field position into TDs.
This isn’t one game. It’s the entire trend of Fields’ career.

The proven track record surely plays into the "microscope" after every game, no?
Like, you live with a game like Mahomes had here when he has multiple Super Bowls and Super Bowl MVPs and regular season MVPs and is 71-19 as a starter.
It's a little different for Justin Fields, and it should be. To even compare the two is beyond stupid, even for a "joke" (jokes are usually funny, but I digress)

I like Fields but his diehards make me hope hes gone. So annoying. You seriously cant see the difference? Fields has gone over 300 yards one time. Hes gone under 200 yards 24 of his 34 career games. Just this season he threw for under 100 in a game. The two youre talking about have earned the benefit of the doubt.
Theres no denying that this coaching staff is terrible. But hes not without blame either. He has a true #1 WR, he has a top-10 at worst TE, and a solid offensive line. Better QBs have succeeded in worse situations.
Fields would love to have a Wr like DJ Moore or hell even Mooney at this point. The guys he has suck.
