"Back in my day" we would swap out someone's mouse ball with a hard-boiled egg yolk as a prank. Good times.
Even worse, yolk sizes are unpredictable, and it's not like you can open an uncooked egg to check. You had to boil at least a dozen and hope one of them fit.
My friend managed to find a compatible eraser at some stationery store while travelling, but he couldn't tell me exactly which one he went to. This was before we could just order everything online, The best part was that you could use up the eraser a little bit to get a snug fit, you can't do that with the yolks.
I don't know why more stores didn't carry those erasers
The egg mafia is why.

oh man, I tried to make 2 weeks in advanced once, you know to save time.
Holy fuck, the smell. It was awful.
The worst part was having to clean the gunk off your yolk to up the mouseโs responsiveness.
I found it so satisfying! Especially when you'd get it all off a roller in one piece.
