They do gaming now? But the meteo service wasn't allowed to compete with the private sector?

[–] TrippingBalls@lemmy.world 18 points 7 hours ago

They cut programs and waste tax dollars on this drivel

They think this will win people over come November.

I can't afford groceries but thanks for a racist knockoff of a game that came out decades before I was born, sweet.

I still can't believe a world potency as big as the fucking United States is publishing fucking deportation minigames to their official fucking website!

And they use Sega and Microsoft logos to peddle it on Twitter!! And of course they won't do anything about it legally because lmao why would they?!

To hell with this clown republic 🤡

My fucking government is acting like a bunch of teenage trolls. It is unbelievable. I never imagined I'd see a people so devoid of shame, class or morals.

[–] SaharaMaleikuhm@feddit.org 1 points 7 hours ago

Right? They at least used to hide it in the past!

One of the games, Build the Wall, borrows heavily from Tetris. Players stack falling blocks to defend the southern border during a “zombie border siege” and “protect the border from the coming horde.”

Allowing the blocks to reach the top of the screen triggers a “border breached” message.

Ahhh, this administration's usual level of not thinking things through rears its idiotic head again. This basically says building the wall is counterproductive, and you win by keeping it down.

The people in charge are, to put it in terms trump would understand, completely retarded. What I don't understand is where the checks and balances they swore kept the government running are. I haven't seen a single check or balance that has any effect yet, where the fuck are they? Was it always a lie?

Republicans have a trifecta, and a 6-3 scotus majority.

And now is when we find out that the checks and balances were always more of an honor-system than your government teacher would have you believe.

the checks and balances

Once the checks clear, their balances reflect it.

Oh, you meant different checks and different balances. Never mind.

Honestly, I'd completely phased this word out of my vocabulary, but describing MAGA admins are the one time I will use it. It's the only thing that accurately describes them. Elon wanted to bring it back so badly, why not use it to tell him what friendless retard he actually is.

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 13 points 16 hours ago

They were gonna send every dumbass a 1776 check... so... but yeah they didn't do that either

[–] alphabethunter@lemmy.world 23 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I'd bet real money that those """games""" were all slop coded.

[–] hopesdead@startrek.website 7 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

They completely missed the point of Tetris.

[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago

The score is how much the tax payer has put in to maintain something that will always end with Game Over. Well, unless the builder starts transcending end-game via loopholes, which is likely. At which point the score's rolling K economy harder than ever.

[–] RobotToaster@mander.xyz 9 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Tetris is famously litigious, but it's hard to see how this wouldn't be a protected parody.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 7 points 11 hours ago

The subject matter isn't the parodied thing. It's not making fun of Tetris. It's using Tetris in a pretty unrelated way to its actual purposes.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 14 points 15 hours ago (3 children)

Maaaaaaaaan.......this sucks. At one point in the 90s I had played every version of tetris released.

I haven't kept up, but my inner 8 year old is sad. My inner 8 year old wants to play all the tetris, but my outer 42 year old self is keeping my inner 8 year old away from anything trump related.

My inner 8 year old is sad, but I'll understand when I grow up.......wait, how does this work again?

Here is a recommendation for Tetris Effect

[–] WhoIzDisIz@lemmy.today 1 points 13 hours ago

Wait until your innie grows up into an outtie.

[–] CaptainBasculin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 14 hours ago

As much as I like this move, I think Tetris cannot claim to own the concept of 4 block stacker games, a positive legal outcome could be disasterous for all Tetris fangames.

[–] schipelblorp@sh.itjust.works 8 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Almost a whole day and still not hacked. Hm.

[–] muusemuuse@sh.itjust.works 3 points 12 hours ago

Because why bother? It’s perfectly awful all by itself.
