for a starting qb that is piss poor.

[–] PortillosBeef27@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What are you talking about? He literally has no help! Just give it another 2 or 3 years and you’ll see him ball out! He just got that swagger! That moxie

If you extrapolate to a full season that’s 4000 total yards. Not that bad

[–] Horror_Economics_588@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

lol total yards i love, how you gotta add two different stats to try to justify him. he's literally the dollar general version of Lamar jackson. Lamar is overpaid and barely can play a full season and yet is better passer, with not much so idk

[–] LoudHorse89@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Isn’t the entire point of a QB that can run is that they are able to move the ball in the air and on the ground?

Lamar is an MVP winner and owns the best winning % of all time for a QB whose started at least 50 games.

[–] moneyman2222@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He literally only played 6 1/2 games that's why. Convert it to a 17 game season and it comes out to 3,583 yards and 31 TDs. Also 892 rushing yards

[–] Bodybybeers@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s pace 3100 yards passing and 4100 total yards over 17 games plus 31 total touchdowns

[–] josevictor21@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That's definitely one of the stats I've seen

[–] Natiak@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It is in fact one of the stats of all time.

[–] AcruxTek@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The best kind of stat. A potential future stat that hasn't happened yet.

Is this supposed to be a good thing or something? Cause it’s not.

[–] iaintnathanarizona@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah, those are a lot of numbers.

3200 yards isn't bad for someone with injuries

[–] shellsquad@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think OP is saying this isn't great? Right?

[–] discwrangler@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

How many W's is he on pace for?

Wins are not a QB stat, stop watching Colin Cowherd

[–] discwrangler@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don't watch Cowherd...or any network TV. The only reason to play the game is to win. I've watched Fields almost win a dozen games the stats would say he won. Yet, he loses. Winners win.

[–] Electrical-Radish419@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tell the rest of the team that.

[–] RIPRIF20@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

That averages out to 195 passing yards a game, or just over 3,300 passing yards for a 17 game season. That's pretty dogshit. I like Fields, but he needs to produce more. It doesn;t matter how terrible the coaching is, if you average under 195 passing yards a game, you absolutely shouldnt be a starting QB. And no, I don't care how many rushing yards he has. Scampers here and there are a welcome state, huge rushing numbers aren't a positive for a QB over the long term.

You don’t know ball bro lol

The point is, those are some numbers

[–] rhj2020@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s just not good enough. Maybe it’s the offensive coordinator, maybe the coach. But he definitely has not been good enough. We need to start over from Poles down. Hope Justin plays well enough to have trade value and draft a quarterback.

[–] Cant_Spell_Shit@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tremendous leader, a lot of moments of brilliance, pretty unproductive. Its time to move on.

[–] GimmeYourKoenigArius@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Dogshit QB. Bustin has to go. Get Williams or Maye.

[–] BaconScentedSoap@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

But what would his stats look like over a full 82 game season in the NBA and NHL??

[–] fargunkle@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Explain this in NBA terms

[–] pokisan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Guys! Guys!

If we remove all of his negative plays, He's the goat.

[–] Sabiancym@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I fucking hate this sub. Truly.

It's very clear that half the people here want Fields to suck so they can claim they were correct. Which is why even though he has played very well for quite a few games in a row, you people still act like he's been doing nothing.
