Don’t sleep on him. He looks like he’s ready. Fields might be the guy, but if he’s not, Nix appears to have the talent and the anticipation. If anything he drives up the price on the picks.

Dear lord, I wish I hadn’t googled him. Used insurance car salesman fuckboy dork. He’s got bust written all over his greasy tan forehead.

He is one of the guys I would love the Bears to take in the 3rd round or later. He, Jordan Travis, Penix (who is probably going much higher than that now) Dillon Gabriel, any of the juniors who might declare early. Whether you stick with Fields or draft a guy at 1 I think one of these guys as insurance is a great idea.

The thing is, as others pointed out, this is his fifth year of starting in college football. That is a long time. Studs go to the NFL after 3 years, prove it players 4, and then the Covid year has allowed some guys like Bo Nix to start four five seasons. It's hard to replicate experience. He will have had 60 starts under his belt in college after his next game.

He, like Penix, like Minshew, like Eason, like Sanders... there seems to be a trend in college football over recent years where transferring out west has helped put up crazy numbers where transferring east seems to hurt stats or at least not blow them up.

As an example, CJ Stroud just turned 22 a month ago. He hit the NFL at 21 years old. Bo Nix will turn 24 in February. Imagine what CJ Stroud could do in college football if he played this season plus next year in college.

Nix should be mentally well above almost every single guy he's on the field with and then physically he should be further along with a few more seasons under his belt than his competition.

Lmao this is why Bears fans are the worst. Caleb Williams? He looks overrated! Bo Nix? Now he is good.

He's a 2nd cousin on my dad's side , so I say yes.

As an Auburn fan, I can't really get behind Nix...id be happy to be wrong, I just don't see it.

No thanks, anyone else but Nix

[–] uponone@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Why anyone else but Nix? He’s looked pretty good tonight in a big PAC12 game.

[–] PerscribedPharmacist@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s a definition of system QB

[–] bingchilling32@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

definition of a system quarterback at oregon. if you watched drake maye film for five minutes you’d be surprised the incredibly large gap between them. film, not highlights

[–] uponone@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve been told the same thing about Maye. You guys can all be right. I’m looking at what Nix is doing now which is impressive. At the very least, if Fields is kept, it drives up the price of the picks.

Out of the last 10 drafted QB Heisman winners, all have gone in the first round. 6 we're drafted at #1 and 2 we're drafted at #2.

If Nix wins the Heisman (favorite right now), is there any chance he doesn't go in the first round?

[–] frodeem@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Dude, Nix is not the favorite, Penix is, followed by Jayden Daniels.

[–] butteredbread8763@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wrong. You could argue that Daniels is the favorite, but more places have Nix leading.

Penix is almost unanimously ranked 3 at the moment.

[–] Vividlarvae@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If Nix beats Washington in the PAC 12 title game and makes the playoff he’ll win. If Washington wins that game Penix gets it it’s pretty simple at this point

[–] warwithus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Jayden Daniels is the favorite and 110% should win it. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t watch college football.

[–] JakeLake720@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m not a Nix guy, but no one has any clue when it comes to QB evaluation so you might end up correct

[–] InsideHangar18@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Nix is pretty much the same as he was at Auburn. Yes he’s looked better at Oregon, but only because he’s in a conference that plays no defense, so his guys are always open. He’s also older than you want in a QB prospect.

[–] Only_Garbage_8885@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Like the sec plays defense. That is a long standing joke. PAC is actually the best conference this year and it’s not close. That said I’m not sold on Nix either. Maybe I remember the young sunburn version

[–] InsideHangar18@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m sorry, you’re saying the guy who went from throwing 16/12/11 TDs to 6/7/3 INTs his first three years playing against SEC competition versus 29/35 TDs and 7/2 INTs the past two years at Oregon is somehow playing against better defenses? Are you high?

[–] the_liquid_dog@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Absolutely fucking not
