That's what you sound like saying we should pass on caleb williams. Unless the argument is that of course a wide receiver couldn't single handedly win a game for the team, the position just doesn't have enough impact when the quarterback can't get them the ball. (Which is why he shouldn't draft one with our first pick).

Of course not. However, Marvin harrison cannot beat Michigan when he has a pumpkin throwing him the ball. Therefore, he will not be able to beat green bay when he has a pumpkin throwing him the ball. Thus, we ought to prioritise the ball-thrower, because it is the most important position on the field.

I agree that wins are neither a QB nor a WR stat, but this is the worst way to make that point.

  • Ohio State: 1 loss this season against a Tpp 3 team by less than a TD

  • USC: 5 losses this season, 4 by more than 2 TDs, multiple losses against unranked opponents

True, ohio state is a much better team than usc.
