The really cool part is that there is some evidence of multiple pregnancies occuring in humans (that's getting impregnated twice and carrying both babies at the same time) and even some speculation that that might be why some twins are born with one which seems less developed than the other

Fight in the womb might not be too far off. I've read that sperm goes after competing sperm in the uterus. Maybe that's a bit over simplified though.
