Bruh, I was asking about pics of the event, not videos.
I kid you not, three attempts has been my experience every feckin time until this one magical moment I just announced.
It’s memes like this that makes manufacturers think it doesn’t matter anyway, and suddenly start making devices where the USB sockets are actually upside down. And let me tell you, once you’ve had to deal with one of those, you won’t be laughing anymore.
I've never laughed over this. It's always been constant rage.
My old Lenovo tablet's charging plug has the port upside down, also the tablet itself has the micro USB upside down because of this, so my cable always had to do a little twist when I wanted to charge any other micro USB devices with it.
When I got my USB-C phone, I just swapped the plugs around.
The secret is to do two practice attempts before you really try to insert it.
Yeah I make sure my cable & device know that I'm not super serious the first two tries, so it doesn't count.

True but I usually do it in the dark and can't see the female end clearly anyway even if I try to use the braille method (feeling the raised USB logo)

I think everyone always gets the direction right the first time. That's why, when it won't go in, and you rotate it 180, it still won't go in and you have to flip it back to the original direction to finally get it in.
Pretty much most of the time the plastic bit goes in the bottom, I get it in the first time most times.
okay but there is no top and bottom in my scenario, I'm plugging the charging cable into a power bank that is hanging from a hook, The power bank can spin 360° any way it happens to land at any given moment
The top is probably the LED bar or the brand. Plastic bit goes under this. Just keep the plastic bit down and go around plugging it into things, if the device is designed correctly, it should be in the correct orientation most times.
