Man hat es nicht einmal bis zur Abschaltung der Drittapps durchgehalten. Man braucht sich ja nur mal auf Reddark umschauen, wieviele von den ganz großen wieder offen haben. Fast alle mit 10 Millionen und mehr Nutzern waren grün, also geschlossen.

Das Problem an Lastenrädern ist einfach, dass sie nur für eine Aufgabe geeignet sind. Wenn ich aber mit dem Rad auch mal ein paar Touren fahren möchte, sind sie nutzlos. Für den Preis eines normalen und eines Lastenrads bekomme ich richtig gutes E-Rad und noch einen coolen Anhänger und habe so beide Nutzungsmöglichkeiten abgedeckt.

Sie hätten halt einfach eine Instanz bei Lemmy oder Kbin eröffnen können. Es war doch abzusehen, dass Spez bzw. Reddit Inc im Allgemeinen nichts ändern wird.

Der Vergleich mit Twitter und Mastodon ist Quatsch. Die Leute sind nicht gewechselt, weil Twitter eben noch funktioniert hat. Man kann weiterhin Tweets absetzen und Leuten folgen.

Der Reddit-Blackout dagegen machte es unmöglich, die Seite zu nutzen, und darum haben sich viele auch die Alternativen angeschaut. Sollten die ganzen Subreddits jetzt aber wieder öffnen, weil sie sich um ihre aufgebaute Community sorgen, dann ja, war das ganze alles für den Arsch.

Wenn man sich wirklich gegen den Schwachsinn, den Spez vorhat, stellen wollte, hätte man von Anfang an auf Lemmy und Kbin verweisen sollen. Wenn die Mods das jetzt noch immer nicht machen, dann ist das ein deutliches Zeichen, dass man mit den Plänen von Reddit einverstanden ist und man hätte sich dieses ganze Theater sparen können.
