Isn't it neat how we can't criticize past presidents, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump for war crimes without someone saying "what about current president".
Mark my words, after we have a new president suddenly we won't be able to say "Genocide Joe" without someone going "yeah like [current president] is so different".
There's a bit of amnesia around Trump's administration, people like to remember him as "mean tweets" guy and not for his thermobaric bomb fetish, or how he would nonchalantly launch attacks on Syria without congressional approval first.

FWIW even a high-paying job still means you're part of the working class, not the ownership class.

I would say US politicians are in a race to see who can be the most monstrous ghoul, but that would be disrespectful to the ghouls.
Completely inevitable. The GOP needs a constant source of outrage to galvanize its base. Abortion just isn't the same now that it'll outright illegal in many states.
If they're smart, they'll stick to the culture war and not actually write any policy, or they'll have to find a new even more extreme position to fight on.
