Sometimes the sketchiest places have the warmest hearts. But it's also good to be cautious!

I hope you continue to find things there that compliment your journey!

I am so happy that you have a supportive parent. The world needs more of them.

Thrift stores are so great. Some are definitely better than others. There is one I found around here that is huge and has tons of great looking items but sadly no dressing rooms. I got super lucky that the 2 pairs of slacks I picked up ended up fitting fine lol.

Those clothes look amazing and I am glad you are getting euphoria from them. πŸ’œ

My current go to move for resetting is crawling into bed hugging my plushies and listen to music with my earbuds in. These days that music tends to be Cocteau Twins, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Ora Cogan and Agnes Obel. Once I calm my brain and start paying attention to the music it ferry's me to a lighter place for just a little while.

I hope your week gets better πŸ’œ

Thank you honey this gives me hope. I am on my second week and now relying on people in the community. And for real they have kept me alive and fighting with al the help I have been getting. Thank you for showing me this isn't the end. πŸ’œ

You said it sister. I have found exactly one reliable place so far here in the USA, and it is called Torrid. They sell clothing and shoes for plus sized individuals with extra wide sizes on the shoes. I even had to send them back about 3 times to find the best size and I can't remember if there was a return fee but it may have been like 5$. I absolutely love the Mary Jane lugs I got from them.

Mayhaps there are plus stores in Aus that could help.

What are ya'll's go to comfort moves when life gets you down? What cheers you up?

For me, it's creating something. Channeling negativity into positivity. But creativity isn't always viable. The muse is fickle.

What sparks joy for you?

You also gave me great advice the other day and I will always remember your kindness. ❀️

CW, DV

I have a court case pending on Wednesday and will finally be free of abusive family members. Sadly I am the defendant. I understand why the rules are the way they are, but sometimes rules that are meant to help victims are used by abusers to further victimize. I am fighting this to get it off my record.

I am safe in hotels and looking for shelters and couches, and am finding new friends. I started writing a daily positivity journal to combat the trauma loops. I will survive this.

Great name! Hi Alethea, how are you doing today?

I wont go too far into my story because it is too hard right now. But sadly and suddenly i am facing homelessness due to transphobic family members. I am currently safe staying at a hotel for the night, but i have no job so i cant afford too many hotel stays.

I have an appointment with my therapist later this morning and i am feeling ok, all things considered and i havnt thought at all about hurting myself (and that isnt something i have a history of). I am fortunately at a fairly stable point in my life and i believe i can make it through this. But i know i cant do it alone.

I am currently trying to reach out to friends for support and i have the phone number to a shelter line but i am scared of going to one. I am hopeful that i can find something temporary but i am trying to look at every option.

I am not asking for handouts or anything like that. I know there is a mutual aid com if it comes to needing assistance if all else fails.

What i am asking for is advice from anyone that has faced this situation. Just... anything. I dont even know what to ask. I feel so lost. At least i grabbed one of my sharks before the cops escorted me out. Which is good bc i am very sad girl right now. I think i will go cry. Thanks for listening
