Way too big but a good test for different knits.

The cuff is 1x1 ribbing with acrylic yarn and the main body is e wrapped with chenille as I wanted it to be light and breathable but still fluffy. The end of the glove is ended off with two rows of purls to try to look less like it was incomplete and more like a style, but that didn't really work haha.

I am also not a fan of the thumb hole but it works.

I... recognize a few of those words!

In all seriousness thank you so much for the advice! I'll definitely research what each of those stitches are before my next attempt, it will be nice not having the whole thing roll up on me.

Also no it wasn't intentional, I literally bought a loom kit and googled how to knit a scarf and just did the first thing I saw haha. We all have to start somewhere!

She was oddly happy to wear it, usually she hates wearing clothes. I'll need to make her one, just a lot shorter so she can't tangle herself in it when she rolls around.

I'm with you there, my mom loves scarfs but when I wear them I just look like I broke my neck and was all out of casts haha.

Thanks! It is simple, but I had a surprising amount of fun making it. My brother is still young so I don't expect him to be sentimental about it, but our mom loves scarfs so at least he can match!

Being modeled by my dog:

It was surprisingly easy to do the stripe, I was expecting everything to fall apart! The real challenge was keeping the end from unraveling when I was done, but I managed... barely.

If vector art was used, or the outlines were placed/adjusted algorithmicly, this is a relatively normal effect caused by a bad path or stray vertices. While it could have been touched up with AI, I'd personally give the benefit of the doubt on this one

This is the same vibe as the Jimmy Nuetron movie/special/whatever where they turn random carnival items into spaceships.

On its own, I would call that dismissive. Generally, I would say that "negativity that does not needlessly affect others" is more about adding to the discussion in a healthy but negative way. Personal anecdotes, pushing for future positive action, simple sympathy/empathy, or even the below part of my comment, would be what I would put under this category.

Sadly, I don't think it is possible to have rigid objective categories due to the subject of this community. But that was my thoughts.

I don't frequent this community, so please take what I say with a grain of salt, but I'm not seeing many bars/criteria which is what is being requested so I'll throw in my two cents.

\1. If it is reasonable context or updates the average person would want/need, then it should be allowed.

Examples:

"It's great the old lady recovered from her fall down the stairs, but unfortunately, a few hours after this article, she fell down again : ("

"She fell down the stairs because the step height was inconsistent, that needs to be fixed ASAP."

\2. If it is pointed, hostile, or drumming up anger, it should NOT be allowed.

Examples:

"It's the Radical Escalator Group that weakened stair legislation!"

"She should have been more careful. This is clearly on the old lady."

\3. If it is dismissive of the good news or tries to make people feel bad for enjoying the good news, it should NOT be allowed.

Examples:

"Sure SHE recovered, but what about the hundreds of stair fall victims who don't?"

"How does this help anyone?"

"If you don't check the stairs you use and report bad stairs, this is your fault, and you shouldn't be celebrating her recovery."

\4. General negativity that does not needlessly effect others should be allowed.

Examples:

"My grandma fell down the stairs too. Hoping for a recovery"

"My stairs are all messed up too, but sadly I rent, so I can't fix them..."

"This will likely happen again. We should make sure the needed resources for recovery are available, or the next one might not end so happily."

I do think the only punishment should be removal and a warning, but I do not mod, so I'll leave that discussion to the experts.

Edit: formatting x2

Dang it, cocoa instead of coffee... That's alright. It still has caffeine just a lot less, like chocolate. May not be a large reaction, but I'll still be taking notes! Unfortunately, I don't recall if we ever see Vee or any other demon eating chocolate, so it will be tough to compare...

Previous experiments. I believe they are called Three and Four. Vee is called that since she was Five and V is the roman numeral for five. Basically older siblings of Vee

Interesting thing to note: fire prone brushlands, which are often included in the public coloquial idea of savanna, are one of the few ecosystems with a comparable biodiversity to rainforests. Also, the difference between jungle and rainforest is that the tangle of undergrowth is larger, and sunlight is more able to breach the canopy, fueling that undergrowth. So, if we were willing to stretch these ideas to the absolute extreme, we could argue that the savanna - with fire prone brushlands included - is a jungle due to the heavy "undergrowth" fueled by the sunlight breaching an EXTREMELY sparse canopy.

Or if we want to stick to reality, we can just accept the title is a bit of a misnomer lol

Ok, so Mark's coffee lore is getting intricate.

We know coffee effects witches differently. We know a stronger coffee can knock out a witch. We also know Amity enjoys coffee. We also know it isn't just a difference in how it is made since Luz made regular coffee for Amity and probs wouldn't have made it super different.

So what makes sense would be that Amity doesn't drink coffee to stay awake but to relax. Since the active compounds must be the same (since nothing else about the drink seems to change), caffeine must be a depressant for Witches instead of a stimulant.

Now Hunter has the effect of coffee as a stimulant. So either this is how Grimwalkers in general are affected, OR sine Hunter is a Grimwalker made from Humanity he is affected like a human.

Now we need Jay to drink coffee and have a strong reaction so we can know if it is a Grimwalker thing. Also, it would be interesting to see how it affects Demons, Titans, and Collectors.

I want to say there was a comic where she revealed that she knew everything that was going to happen but literally couldn't do anything to stop it because of how her magic worked, and it looked to be driving her a tad crazy. Sadly, I can't find it right now. Maybe it was a different oracle, though we don't have a ton of options lol

Hello! I just released my first solo game on Itch called "Babel's Echoes"! Typically I work with my team, but for this project I went (mostly) alone which was quite daunting to me.

I have been working on this game in my spare time for nearly a year now and am so happy to finally put it out there. It is a 2D puzzle game where the goal is to make it to the end of the level while stepping on each tile ONLY ONCE.

I came to Godot from Unity and honestly it is a breath of fresh air. This project was one of the main ways I learned this tool and there are so many things I know I did wrong while I was learning. But that is where all the fun came from!

This was also my first project to seriously try localization and do language support. So this game has in game options for English, Spanish, French, German, Esperanto, Hindi, Japanese, and Ukrainian! Granted I don't speak any of these (other than English) so just hoping I got them right enough with online translators haha.

If you want to try it: Find it here on Itch.io

Hey everyone! Ever wonder what goes on in the heads of those Minecraft characters staring back at you from the trailers? Me too! Sadly Google didn't have much so I dove into the trailers and animations, and here's what I came up with for our character crew.

Starting with what I call the "core group" due to them being very interconnected:

Steve: Our trusty Steve, the classic Minecraft avatar, seems to be the knowledge bank of the group. He's got a redstone-powered base (shared with Alex it seems) and loves tinkering with books (even using them as keys for fancy redstone doors!). While well-rounded, Steve's combat skills seem a bit...rusty. He often finds himself in pickles, leaving Alex to save the day. He seems to have also lost some of his netherite gear from 1.16. Still, he can definitely hold his own when needed.

Alex: Once the new kid on the block, Alex is now Steve's right-hand woman. She's a total boss, rocking combat skills but also brains, helping Steve with redstone projects and even taking charge with some. They seem to share a base and are the most geared-up adventurers, sporting a few pieces of netherite armor. Alex seems to have kept her full set while Steve lost some. Alex rides a camel, but otherwise tackles challenges solo or with Steve. Both are jacks of all trades, using various features without a clear favorite (except Alex's love for camels, of course!).

Efe: The adventurous spirit of the group, Efe has a knack for exploring the less-used features. We see her using a spyglass, hunting for a trident, rocking the Frost Walker enchantment, and riding pigs (because who needs horses or camels?). While not fearless, Efe's more willing to take risks to get what she wants. She might share a cozy house with a fire pit (the group hangout) with Sunny, but that's unconfirmed.

Sunny: The chill rancher and fisherman, Sunny's all about raising camels and spending quality time fishing. He seems to take a calmer approach, rarely putting himself in danger on purpose (except when it comes to rescuing chickens from ancient cities). Sunny's a friendly dude, very easygoing (and a personal favorite along with Efe). He might have a small house with a fire pit (the group hangout) that he shares with Efe, but that's still up in the air.

Noor: Completing the core group, Noor's another animal lover. He's befriended tadpoles, frogs, allays, and a whole pack of wolves! While Sunny's the rancher/fisherman, Noor seems more like a pet collector (gotta catch 'em all!). He enjoys fishing too, but not quite as much as Sunny. Noor's the only one without a clear partner – when the group splits, Alex and Steve stick together, as do Efe and Sunny, but Noor goes his own way.

Ari: A bit on the shy side, Ari prefers hiding behind objects to charging into the action. She seems fascinated by archaeology, frequently seen with brushes and hanging out in deserts. The only other character she actively interacts with is Noor, as they've been seen mining together. Despite her curiosity and adventurous spirit, Ari might be shy or just enjoy some alone time.

Makenna: Seems to have gotten the short end of the stick, screen time-wise. We see her farming with Kai, and that's pretty much it. Not much else is known about her, except for using an elytra once. Hopefully, Mojang gives her a chance to shine in the future!

Zuri: Another character who deserves more love! Zuri's a super friendly and talented builder, but we only see him hanging out with Sunny once, with brief interactions with the others. Alex visits him and his sniffers after a battle, so he's making friends! I do hope he gets more time to bond with the others though. He loves building, sniffers, camels, and pandas, and seems drawn to peaceful biomes like cherry groves and bamboo forests. His main base is in a Cherry Grove, with a possible mini-base in the bamboo jungle (though that might not be official).

Kai: Last but sadly least, Kai farms with Makenna. And...that's it. From some images, she seems to have a silly side, mimicking an evoker's outfit, but I am not sure if this is official. If so that makes her the only one other than Steve and Alex to use non-iron gear. There's also a hint she might be a builder who likes cherry wood like Zuri. Here's hoping they become friends if Mojang fleshes out her character more!

That is what I was able to find for each of them, they are all very similar though. It is almost like these are just skins that are meant to not have a personality and just be an avatar for the player... Nah. My personal favourites are Efe and Sunny, I love the laid back aditude of Sunny and the off beat fun experimentation of Efe. If I missed anything please let me know!
