I think it was the year after this album was released. We got in touch with the band to do some official merch for world goth day. Second life merch and clothing. I bet I still have some somewhere. We also got killing joke, Bella morte, and even Kommunity FK.

This album was really great though. Kinda hard to pick a favorite track from Covenant. So many good ones. But for me I think it's between the remix of this track and dead stars.

Aaaah SCTV. With young Rick and Dave. About time to watch strange brew again.

Yep. Exactly what I predicted. You can't actually describe what any of them are. Simply repeating propaganda.

Heh well both Lee and Martin are musicians/djs. Web design, especially modern web design is an art to itself. I used to dabble. 20 years ago. Modern web design today with all the JavaScript is beyond me.

There isn't a lot of money in all this for them I know. Martin is pretty busy with day to day. Lee, last I heard he had been touring a bit etc. He contacted the group for the first time in years actually recently. I'm sure if someone who knew what they were doing and was interested involunteering got in touch with one of them. It would be a decent easy portfolio piece.

I just tend to defer to Jim Morrison who once said

People are strange,

Damn I haven't thought about wgd in years. A decade ago a lot of friends and I would hold events Etc celebrating it online. Back around the time it originated. One of the founders is an acquaintance. Well I say is. More was. Not to go into much detail etc. Just to say there was some relationship issues that ended up seeing them ousted from any part of the group. And the wgd stuff largely ending for us.

It sucks, because it really has become much more than just them anyhow. But you stick by good friends. And these are some of the best. Honestly I don't know how I got so lucky. Getting to meet so many awesome people even if only tangentially LOL. A number of different musicians and creators Etc that I likely never would have talked to otherwise.

Anyhow this is not an endorsement or condemnation of it lol. Just an old man recalling memories. I'm sure there will be plenty on Twitch and elsewhere streaming today as well as this weekend worth checking out. I ought to check and see if I might still have the last World Goth day set I streamed hanging around somewhere. 2013 2014? I know I've got several hundred gigabytes of streams on a drive somewhere.

As others have said, being diagnosed isn't going to change your life. You will always be you. The only thing different will be that you will have a better understanding of yourself. Why certain things bother you or are stressful. And perhaps how to better deal with them. You might still have to struggle with social situations. But now you will know why. And others might too, and have understanding for it. Rather than think you mean something else by it. Which honestly can be a little life-changing in and of itself ironically.

I think Elon himself is welcoming their performative hate as well. Thinking it will help his brand somehow by distancing himself from them. But the joke is on him because he did enough to completely taint his reputation for the rest of his life.

Yes the whole noun versus adjective thing. Communists aren't communist. And their faces go blank as a dial tone plays in their head.

Technically we are both correct. But you're still wrong. Not surprising since you cannot actually accurately describe what capitalism, socialism, or communism is.

Anything is Possible, especially given his tenacity and willingness to dig in. Conversely John Lydon went from antichrist, anarchîst, with a tongue in cheek good save the Queen. To all hail good emperor trump.

Honestly the actual socialist states, the Scandinavian ones. Tend to be some of the happiest and highest rated on the planet. Consistently even. Generally the authoritarian ones regardless of where they pretend to be economically are often the worst.

If you like the stompy synthetic minimalism of electronic body music. This is some good shit.

This is officially the band's debut album I think. They put out a number of eps over recent years. But this is the first full album. Very dark and mellow. One of the first tracks to really grab me from the album was shadows.

I can't recommend this group enough. Kill like I do off their Violet Age album constantly gets stuck in my head.

Just saw this got released yesterday and gave it a listen. I'm really liking it so far. Very minimal and electronic. I don't know enough Spanish to know what's being said lol. But I am definitely liking it so far

Please enjoy some gothy post punk from the UK.

Holy shit apparently she has arisen. The last release being a sophomore album just short of 20 years ago! The diva has put out a new track, and it sounds good! I always loved the other works. Such a strong and unique female vocalist. The broken ones being a favorite track. I think somewhere between heavy metal switchblade Symphony with a Banshee on lead vocals.

Stockholm's Priest put out this cover of Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun a couple of days ago. A fun and unique interpretation. Though be sure to check the rest of their catalog. I can't recommend them enough.

If you like mellow dark and ambient then this will be right up your alley. San Diego artist Vestron Vulture has pumped out content like a machine. Disembodied whispers and howls reverberating in the void as the synths blare.
