i just switched to firefox with ublock origin, it took a bit of getting used to but no real issue. Also started using thunderbird because microsoft pushing outlook (pay or have ads at the top of your inbox) and getting rid of their free mail app pisses me off, seems like big software companies are just getting bolder with their anti consumer practices.

is a new york times subscription just an assumed possession for using the internet?

sorry if this is against the rules but what is this community for? i don’t know what a chapo, vaush, or nautilism means, the sidebar isn’t much help either.

but no problem making 2 metre tall pickup trucks that are designed to kill pedestrians with ease, be unable to see children at all and blind drivers going in the opposite direction

how bad is it there? I’d imagine lots of European countries are doing worse

i was only there for around 5 years but I was overall quite happy with the community there (granted I spent my time in small hobbyists subreddits), and Lemmy seems to be quite a good community too but a lot smaller and so there’s less information to be shared

yeah i was just under the impression (from what i’ve seen) that many people who work in that field are very left wing/socialist

completely just not true

i miss the content on there, and decades worth of answered questions, as well as how polished it was compared to lemmy

but I don’t see myself going back there either

i think the people that voted “very liberal” aren’t liberal at all, they just weren’t given any other options
