The article focuses on the Canadian tribe, and how Canadian law doesn’t permit them to dodge Canadian taxes. The idea seems to be that American law might, so this could be a way to dodge Trump’s tariffs. But why would the Fort Peck Sioux expect Trump to honor a treaty that defeats his tariffs? The US doesn’t have a good track record on that to begin with, and Trump certainly wouldn’t give a shit. The Fort Peck Reservation doesn’t even border Canada directly. If this isn’t stopped at the Canada/US border, it’s because Trump is planning on sending in the US Army for an old-fashioned Indian massacre.

No one is going to arrest Trump. He’s amassed too much power. Moaning about the Epstein files is a source of false hope, a distraction from all the new abuses that are occurring.

The hypothetical future majority that would be treating minorities badly would be a different group that the majority that’s supposed to be treating minorities badly now.
You’d want to look at how minorities are treated in the countries the immigrants are coming from to predict future behavior. The answer is usually going to be “quite a bit worse, actually.”
Ultimately, the immigrants are coming because they think the treatment of minorities in the new country is still better than being a majority in the old country. No one picks up and leaves because they believe it’s going to make their life shittier.
