His face really was tiny as fuck. Weirdo.

I’m aware of all that about Gaza. No excuses from me, I find it horrifying and shameful. Same as far as sanctions go (I do agree with the Russia ones where it’s a tool to get an actual war to end, or sanctions against individuals in certain contexts). I agree with you on the last point too, it’s just that Jeff doesn’t style himself as a hero of the Proletariat. I dunno who’s responsible for more human suffering between the two, but the hypocrisy does piss me off. They can both get fucked as far as I’m concerned.

Haha, you and me both.

Well hey, on the bright side, admitting it is the first step!

The US is enabling and providing political cover for the Palestinian genocide, Israel is carrying it out. I don’t think an invasion of Venezuela is imminent, just the same kind of underhanded manipulation and isolation that has been done to Cuba for the past half century. Agreed Amazon sucks.

None of that changes the fact that only thing that these North Korean tech workers do is help Kim fund his military projects and his Bourgeoisie lifestyle

Oof, sorry to hear about the TBI, that definitely doesn’t help with symptoms. It sounds like you recognize some of the red flags in your behavior. I don’t know you, but isn’t it possible he’s worried about you and frustrated? It’s mentally and physically exhausting caring for and getting help for loved ones (my dad has dementia, it’s tough). Just be careful with yourself. Manic states quiet the analytical centers of the brain and limit meta cognition. My friend didn’t realize how illogical and destructive he was behaving until he came down, it may be the same for you. I’ll just reiterate my urge to be honest with your doctors and seek treatment.

Just like with physics, “what goes up, must come down”. I’d hate for you to be ill prepared for that moment.

My concern with that is you may be experiencing the high of a manic episode. I’m no doctor, but when my buddy was manic it ultimately led him to doing some self-destructive things. He got himself fired from a job by calling his boss some horrible things in front of the entire staff, he’d burn his money on nonsensical get rich quick schemes, and ultimately he got nabbed for driving intoxicated and attempting to flee from the scene.

I think he’d be in a worse spot if he just told the doctors what he thought they wanted to hear rather than advocating for himself and working with them to get himself to a point where he’s on meds to guard him from burning himself out on a manic tear while also not so heavily medicated he’s a zombie. It can be done! Good luck, stranger

My buddy had a serious manic episode years ago; it was really scary and got him into some legal trouble. Along with some of his friends and family, I came down to attempt him to convince him to enter treatment. It took HOURS, and just as we were losing hope of getting through to him, a switch flipped in his head and he said “alright let’s do this!” And we got him to an inpatient treatment center.

They had him on lithium for a while. I hated it (internally, I didn’t want to fuck up his treatment) because he was so robotic and lethargic whenever we chatted. He told me how he didn’t like how it was making him feel at all. It felt like he went from one extreme to the other. That said, he was honest with his doctors and as he continued to do well, they adjusted his meds. It’s been years now. He’s back to the guy I remember from college. He’s stayed out of trouble, met and married a great woman, and found a career.

Most people don’t become doctors for malicious reasons. Sure some do it for status or money, but they’re still a profession centered around helping people. They take an oath. I’d encourage you to find a doctor you can trust and follow their guidance and treatment. My friend’s doctors gave him his life back when he was on a path to destruction.

They’re also a security threat. Any opportunity to exfiltrate potentially profitable or leverageable data will be taken. I’d bet they’re used to sniff out vulnerabilities for ransomware attacks too. I definitley identify and agree with the healthy sympathy (I guess empathy if you’re in the states, our leader more than qualifies as an asswipe) for the citizens of North Korea

As some of you may be aware, over the past few weeks there have been an increasing number of what I suspect are bots which will share one or even a few posts, all relevant to the communities they are shared in, at which point the account self-deletes. I’m torn as the stories are relevant, but they give me the impression of a narrative attack. I’ve seen only one of these accounts actually comment before deletion, otherwise they post and immediately nuke the account.

I have tagged mods and admins but have not heard any recognition on the problem. It’s also notable that by my impression this issue is getting worse. I noticed yesterday that communities I subscribe to which previously have not had this problem are now starting to receive these kinds of posts.

I want the fediverse to be a place to communicate with real people in good faith; this manner of posting runs contrary to that. So that begs the questions, is this actually a problem, and if so, what can be done about it?

Seeing Saquon with wings is something I can get used to

That’s all, another gritty win. Love it

In my search for the ultimate retro gaming machine I’ve been surprised by the limited options when it comes to controllers for iOS and android. While there are plenty of controllers that you can clip your phone onto in landscape orientation, I haven’t seen any that are designed to play in portrait mode. I see several benefits to a clip on controller for portrait mode. Pinball games, Tetris, and DS games all play best in portrait mode. Plus, a portrait mode controller would be close to the original gameboy in terms of form-factor.

Anyone else looking for something like this? Have I missed a product that’s out there? Maybe once I get a 3D printer I can cannibalize a Bluetooth controller and experiment.
