Problem being that someone else asked the question 10 years ago and the answer is now irrelevant due to version changes. People with high scores are just early adopters who answered all of the easy questions. Hostile users generally can't understand the question. The issue with llms answering your question is that they are going to be stuck in the current time period. In the future their answers will also be irrelevant due to version changes.

I've been selling on eBay for over 20 years. I created a community to discuss selling on various online and local platforms.Whether you're just trying to unload some personal items, or you're a full time reseller we want to hear your questions, successes, and failures.

Is that pcie cover on bottom left from a dell poweredge?

Discuss and learn how to sell items on marketplaces such as eBay, Craigslist, Mercari, and many more.

You don't have to be a full time reseller, learn and resell your own personal items for someone else to enjoy.

A used ps4 is probably the best value in gaming right now. For ~$200 you can get the console and a bunch of games.

A lot of accidents happen at home vs work because you're not mandated to follow safety rules. Everyone, please stay safe and wear your ppe at home and work. It only takes a few seconds to make sure what you're doing is safe. Op, I'm glad you still have all your fingers.

I found that my communities stayed on track better when I made robust rules and offered alternatives where content would be a better fit.

We have something called apple butter, which is a very dark thick applesauce spread.

Edit: you call it applestroop

They look good. Take a look at the rules on !dullsers@dullsters.net I have had fewer issues since I reccomended other communities for topics not appropriate for the community.

I created !dull_mens_club@lemmy.world

I decided to create a whole new instance for dull content

I'm the creator of !dull_mens_club@lemmy.world

I created a whole new dull instance for dull people.

I created !dull_mens_club@lemmy.world a few months ago and then started seeing contraversies around moderation policies and federation that just don't apply to the type of content on dull mens club so I decided to make an instance solely to host that community.

!dullsters@dullsters.net

I'm not sure if this has happened yet, but I like the idea of having a neutral instance that users can still visit regardless of what happens. There's no user signups, only admin/moderator accounts. Users have to use an account from a federated instance.

I created the popular !dull_mens_club@lemmy.world several months ago.

In the interest of decentralization, I decided to create an independent instance.

!dullsters@dullsters.net

The dull mens club community will stay active, but please visit us at the new one.

The community voted on Wjrii@lemmy.world suggestion of

!dullsters@dullsters.net

The current community here on world will stay open. I have no plans of shutting it down unless the community decides it should.

Thank you all again for creating such a wondetful place,I look forward to seeing the community continue to grow.

I've created a new Lemmy instance at dullsters.net

When I created this community several months ago I had no aspirations of it becoming much of anything. In a short amount of time it has grown to over 1500 subscribers and is one of the top recommended non-political communities. I am always looking forward to the posts that are shared here, and the unique culture being developed.

I see the importance of the decentralized aspect of the Fediverse. We frequently see drama surrounding moderation and federation policies. None of that applies to the content in this community.

I have no qualms with admins running their site the way they want to and they are often placed in difficult positions. However, this is one of the true places of neutrality on the Fediverse and it should remain that way.

In the few months this community has existed there have been maybe a half dozen moderation actions taken. You have remained, for the most part, very dull, and I thank you for that.

The name of the community should be changed, I hadn't realized that dull men's club was the result of someone else's ideas and work. The new name should represent this community that you all have created and the place it exists, The Fediverse.

The new instance won't have any users except for the purpose of moderation, you will still use your account from a federated instance. I'm still ironing out a few wrinkles with the site, it should be done whenever I get around to it.

In the meantime suggestions for the new name should be made in a top level comment so that they can be voted on.

Thank you all once again for making this community what it is.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will be the December Solstice. The "shortest" day in the northern hemisphere and "longest" day in the southern hemisphere. Although it will be the day with the least amount of light for many of you, it means that each day after will be brighter. For others each day will be shorter, and thus duller. For places near the equator the change will be negligible throughout the year. Of course if you live near either of Earth's poles you will need to wait a few months to see the change.

I wish you all a very dull and uneventful day.

I just like to make other people think there's something maybe a little exciting going on, like an enthusiast meetup or maybe a glitch in the matrix. It gives me a little chuckle.
