It is definitely also a question of quality. Not just because the concept of food safety was non-existant back then, but if we are talking about a really poor person, the bread and cheese (and mostly there would be no cheese at all) would be stale, the wine full of dregs, but watered down so much that they would barely be able to taste how vinegary it was.
He did indeed manage to undermine more of the crumbling vestiges of US democracy than many gives him credit for.
So why do you need an external creator to believe in them?
Before it destroys civilised society. Seems a bit late for the US unfortunately. The combined power of capitalism and fundamentalist religion is pretty much an unstoppable force there.
That is because it is. Incidentally the kind of arrogant gaslighting language he uses is exactly the same language Russian ambassadors have been using since they invaded Ukraine.
There is just one rulebook for fascists, so it becomes pretty easy to predict and interpret their behaviour once you have learnt it (the rulebook being just read any part of history that involves fascists taking power in a country).
And people seem to forget that it took years of concerted effort of several major world powers to end Nazi Germany. They didn't go voluntarily, and this time we have no world powers who are really interested in stopping it. Most of them are in fact busy cheering it on.
Neither did Europeans in 1607.
It is not best for "human related" issues at all, imperial is pretty bad for those as well, but because you have grown up with it it seems so to you.

In Catholicism during medieval times, it was forbidden for Christians to lend money with interest (based on selective interpretation of the Bible). Jews would of course be exempt from that, so it was a nice workaround, because there was no ban on Christians lending money from Jews. This enabled Jews to get an early foothold in the finance industry before banking was even really a thing.
Combined with the already mentioned ban on Jews working in most professions in Christian countries well into early modern times (many places until the 19th century in fact), it was a pretty natural development that many Jews entered this profession.
