I know what you mean, but just in case anyone has a pair of these I feel obligated to mention it’s relatively trivial to replace the battery packs inside, so maybe don’t just throw them away.

Or do, whatever, more free electronics for me ;)

As an exercise in empathy, I often imagine what the “dumbest and most cruel people on the planet” would be like if they weren’t constantly exposed to reality-shaping propaganda.

In some cases, I don’t even have to imagine. I can just remember what they were like before.

I think that exercise matters for a variety of reasons principle and practical, but the foremost is that it’s the only antidote and inoculant we know.

Agreed. If you’re interested in better understanding the face-saving mores of global “honor cultures,” it’s a fairly interesting and relatively deep topic of study: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Face_(sociological_concept)

lol yeah, not the best tracker to learn on but eventually found some workarounds

I think simplest was finding heavy scene packs to import/reverify from easy generals. Less competition due to disk space requirement and better at saturating shared box ratecaps which let occasional crumbs to fall through. Worked on hdbits too IIRC.

Childless millennial, so I’m not sure what teenagers are like today, but wouldn’t talking openly about wanting teenagers to use an officially-sanctioned space be the easiest way to ensure they don’t?

TLDR: prior results confirmed. Primary benefits of standing desks relate to variability of position, rather than weight loss which mostly happens in the kitchen.
