Especially when we are talking about VPNs. The reason so many companies are sprouting out of the ground to offer VPNs is because the margin they have is huge.

Don't forget that we are actually skydiving in tandem with someone who either doesn't believe in gravity, is trying to hit the ground on purpose, or both.

I'm not even sure what words to use to describe how I feel about those numbers here in Germany. The only way I can see to get out of this is if Trump and his government quickly(!!) "destroy" the US in a major and visible way.

The still ongoing tariff nonsense is one way, but it is not severe enough and Europeans aren't connecting the dots between one incompetent populist (Trump) and the populists they have at home.

I've been hearing about (soon-to-be, if Trump doesn't back down) empty ports, which may lead to empty shelves in supermarkets. If this becomes big enough that social media is full of people showing empty local supermarkets and the regular media has no choice in turning this into a big story, we might have a chance.

Not that I have any real hope this is would actually change anything ...

Ok, but the genie is already out of the bottle. Arguing like this is kinda pointless.

I don't think it will be possible to get them off social media (or the internet in general), so you need to find ways to make it work.

E.g. minors can not be advertised to, no algorithmic content, no doom-scrolling, and heightened data protection. I think teenager should get access to as much as possible to reduce the "risk" of them trying to go around it. "Their" version of social media might even be the superior one in the end.

If the world wasn't on fire at the moment, people could calmly discuss possible solutions and propose laws in every country to actually protect their children from e.g. the stuff mentioned in the linked article. Sadly, this isn't going to happen ...

Wait, I thought he promised to stop drinking if he was confirmed as secretary of defense. He wouldn't lie, would he? So he must be this stupid sober.

The warm feeling of helping billionaires in need ~~of a new yacht~~?

Not enough? Fine, here is another great benefit: The money will also go to fund and expend the new US gestapo ICE. Soon, ICE won't just go after 'Mexican looking' people, but also anyone critical of Trump, so they really need more people.

Hey Living People ... in my ass

I'm currently listening to it and my playlist could have a few other "interesting" outcomes, like

I'm not sure if I'm just (un)lucky or if this works with too many song titles...

Then my brain shuts off for an undetermined amount of time.

After this, I first need to remember if I'm already done washing myself or haven't started yet.

I'm no expert on this topic, but you should keep in mind that Netanyahu's government is extremely right wing. These types of wannabe dictators only care about themselves.

Also, it benefits him if Jewish people can't feel safe outside Israel. "Us vs. them" is a powerful tool to keep his people in check.

I technically have a Win10+Linux dual boot setup right now, but I haven't used the Linux install in forever, and I think it's broken. So I'll probably fix this and then use Linux when possible and continue using the unsupported win10 for everything that needs windows.

I remember people mentioning the win10 LTCS version with 10 years support, but I'm not going to buy anything from them. Maybe I'll use it unactived if needed.

I agree, but in this case, I think it doesn't really matter if it is true. Either way, it is hilarious. If it is false, it shows how shitty AI hallucination is and the bad state of AI.

Should the authors who publish this mention how likely this is all just a hallucination? Sure, but I think Musk is such a big spreader of misinformation, he shouldn't get any protection from it.

Btw. Many people are saying that Elon Musk has (had?) a small PP and a botched PP surgery.

I don't think that most republicans believe they need Greenland for security reasons, but so what? They might as well, or it would be better if they did at least believe this, because the person they voted for and are still supporting is acting like a lunatic. And they are cheering him on, or at least condoning it.

I do believe that that plenty of republicans like Trump threatening former allies like a big and strong ~~businessman~~/mob boss would do. The same goes for those who think they should grab Greenland for the resources, or just because they can.
