I think I just witnessed the funniest thing I've seen. I was waiting at the tram stop, and tram tracked said it was 15 min away, so I decided to just wait for it.

A guy walks up with a backpack, he looks maybe ~50yo, and waits too. He has a ciggy and then when the traffic dies down he walks into the road a little to see if the tram is coming. It's still a good 10min away according to my app, so I considered telling him this but decided I couldn't be arsed with socialising.

He walks onto the road, checking, and coming back a few times, getting more agitated. At this point there's myself and him, and 4 other women waiting. A tram is coming, I check the app but it still says 5 minutes, so I figure the one coming is not in service. The guy sees it too and thinks it's THE tram, and when it blows past through the intersection (it said "not taking passengers"), he loses his damn mind! Yelling at the tram that's now disappearing down the road, gesticulating wilding, swearing, the works haha me and the other women are like πŸ‘€ at him because he's right in the middle of us (loosely grouped) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ he doesn't direct any of it at us though, and grabs his bag and storms off.

2 min later the actual tram arrives and we get on, angry guy not in sight. I get a window seat and we take off. I look out the window and there's the guy on the footpath πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… he spots the tram and loses his damn mind again!!! I couldnt hear him of course, but he kicked his bag and gesticulated again πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I can't stop laughing!!!

I hope he made it to his destination! Thanks to him, the 15 minute wait felt like no time at all!

Ooooo I like that!! I need a lavender bush, it's my favourite smell! But my balcony gets almost no direct sunlight, so I don't think it would survive lol!

But if/when I move, I'll be pinning my smalls all over that lavender haha

Shopping centers, crowds, crown casino, festivals - all give me high key anxiety. Too many people for my hyper vigilance to process and I get so overwhelmed.

One time, my partner and I walked through Crown (we don't gamble, I'd just never been inside), and I had a panic attack. All the people everywhere, the lack of visible exits, people staring at the pokie machines, I couldn't take it.

I've been back since, to see a movie, and that was okay. It's close enough to the exit. But I just can't take being in a crowded place anymore.

TIL that the word lavender is derived from the same root word that launder/laundry does: Proto-Indo European *leue - to wash.

Lavender was used to make laundry smell nice.

Every Friday in the month of July, the European Night Market it being held in Madame Brussels Lane (50 Lonsdale St Melbourne). The last one is on Friday 28th of July. The event is free, but you'd need to buy the food/drink from the stalls.

I definitely reccomend going, there are plenty of seats, stalls, food, and drink to consume. There are some people dressed up in winter-themed costumes and a couple of entertainers as well.

Here are some photos I took of last night, not many, but a few :)

(I blurred out the faces of people in this one, because they weren't stall owners)
