We would suggest taking a more cooperative outlook on life as well as then living that outlook.

For things like jobs: Join a union or become part of a cooperative etc.

For things like relationships, look at either or both polyamory and relationship anarchy for answers in how to compete less and come across that way too.

We hope this helps!

and mastodon is still just a copy of twitter with no new features.

That's what you said, so I was just going off of that.

Oh, when did twitter add CWs that required a clickthrough? The ability to set your own character limit? When did it remove its algorithms to show you posts it considered relevant? When did it become open source? When did it become decentralised and federated? When did it start working on end-to-end encryption for DMs? When did it allow for built in themes?

Fucking disgusting. France should be ashamed that they have failed as a society if they need to open more prisions, aywhere should.

Fuck fornite. It is well known for stealing and other behaviour like this. Personally it's boring too, I am not interested in playing as pop culture icons contextlessly fighting each other, it makes the characters less interesting and special.

Yep, sadly care and domestic work has been seen this way for a very long time, if not forever.

Yes, prisons are a relic of slavery. They should be abolished. This isn't good enough, even if it helps, it's not where we should be.

Thanks for asking!

Well, to give one example: It has a lot of work to do for blind/visually impaired people, at the very least. Most installers do not come with a screen reader or if it does then it often crashes (it also crashes a lot when installed I am told, at least Orca does). Pipewire, which is used primarily for sound, requires major messing with to be used between user sessions as it cares about security over accessibility, and thus is tied to user permissions, unless you modify it to be accessible, which is going to be difficult when things cannot be seen by the user.

There's a lot of projects for which either patches or the technologies already exist to make things more accessible. However, sadly, a lot of devs prefer new features over fixing things to help make things more accessible. So a lot of people who need such fixes are left behind and thus cannot use linux.

[–] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 5 points 5 days ago (4 children)

I'm saying that a lot of people cannot switch because linux is not accessible enough, sadly.

[–] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 7 points 5 days ago (8 children)

If only linux actually cared about accessibility.

If only the UK was still part of the EU 🙃

We have seen an inordinate amount of hate recently to 'non acceptable' neurodivergences here and other places on lemmy and would really like it if it be explicitly in the rules here that that isn't acceptable.

We are tired of seeing people target those with 'cluster b' personality 'disorders' and even those of us who are plural.

So making the rules explicit that that kind of ill informed hate (or just hate in general) to specific neurodivergences isn't acceptable would go a long way to quelling this absolutely disgusting and unacceptable wave of armchair psychologists, conspiracy theorists and other undesirables.

Thanks for reading.

More than once we have come across some ill informed armchair psychologist who tried to tell us we weren't real or a coping mechanism or some other opinion they pulled out of their ass. Anymany else experienced this?

The other thing we see often is 'jokes' about us using we which derails the whole conversation as we calmly explain what we are, but the thing is it never returns to the conversation afterwards and invariably the above group show up and are unnecessarily mean, their full willful ignorance on display.

Anymany else experienced any of these scenarios? If so how do y'all deal with it?

A really enjoyable swing album made by women only.

What are some games you like that most people hate, view negatively and/or were panned by critics?

A hilarious video explaining how not to look like a Not-So nice guy if you're giving a speech to many people!
